Los Angeles County Sheriff ’s Department launch a body-worn camera pilot program

Recently, in El Monte, a wonderful event took place. This was ā€œInspire,ā€ a full-day of motivational sessions constructed by a team of concerned, dedicated individuals: El Monte City Councilwoman Victoria MartĆ­nez, El Monte Union High School Board Members Ricardo Padilla and Salvador RamĆ­rez, South El Monte City Councilman Hector Delgado and Eddie Zuniga, Assistant Superintendent PersonnelEl Monte Union High School District. High Schoolers from all the El Monte Union High School District’s Schools were invited to learn how to prepare themselves for success in school now, in future, and thereafter. El Monte Union High School District Superintendent Nick Salerno delivered the Invo-

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department has long recognized the advancement in bodyworn camera technology as a useful and practical tool for enhancing public trust and increased transparency. In addition, it is also a valuable way to obtain better video and audio evidence while providing a law enforcement perspective. In July 2013, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department began plans for performing a no-cost test and evaluation of a Body Worn Camera System. After completing extensive research and a request for information procurement process, four manufacturers were selected to participate in the pilot program, which was formally initiated

On Tuesday evening approximately 100 people attended the dedication ceremony for Rosemead’s Civic Center improvements and redesign. During 2014-15, the City will continue work to improve the public infrastructure and aesthetics of the community. An aggressive capital improvements
