Assemblymember Roger Hernández stood outside the offices of Marquez Brothers Inc. recently to announce the formal investigation by the Committee on Labor and Employment, which he chairs, on the recent firing of a Marquez Brother’s Inc. Employee. On March 6, 2013 Assemblymember Hernández held an oversight hearing to examine the unlawful labor practices of employers in California. In particular, the practices often utilized to intimidate undocumented workers. Schiff: Senate failure to pass background checks amendment is ‘appalling defeat for common sense and gun safety’ Wednesday, after the Senate failed to pass a bipartisan agreement on background checks reached by Senators Joe Manchin (D-WV) and Pat Toomey (R-PA) by a vote of 54-46, Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), a former federal prosecutor and outspoken advocate for gun safety legislation, issued the following statement: “What happened this afternoon in the Senate is an appalling defeat for
common sense and gun safety. The victims of Newtown, of Aurora and other gun violence tragedies deserve a vote on a comprehensive gun safety package – including universal background checks, a ban on assault weapons and extended ammunition magazines and the expanded access to mental health treatment. More than half the Senate, along with 90 percent of the American people, support a compromise to ex-
pand background checks to unregulated gun shows and websites that sell millions of weapons, but a minority who feared a negative score from the NRA blocked the bill’s progress. “While it may have failed today, Senate leaders must not give up the fight for universal background checks and other vital gun safety measures – gun violence victims and their families deserve a better vote and result than this.”

CAL FIRE increases staffing in Southern California as fire danger rises Following an extremely dry winter, CAL FIRE has increased its staffing in Southern California for fire season. Starting Monday, April 15, CAL FIRE began transitioning into fire season in San Diego, Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. Over the past month, CAL FIRE has been hiring and training seasonal firefighters to augment its full-time firefighters and will now staff most of the department’s seasonal fire stations around the clock, along with several water dropping helicopters. Unless weather conditions drastically change, CAL FIRE will begin staffing its airtankers in Southern California on April 22. In late March, the Department of Water Resources (DWR) conducted their monthly snow survey and the low levels have CAL FIRE concerned about the impact to this year’s fire season. The lack of rain from January to March across the state is likely to go
down as the driest ever in Northern Sierra Nevada with only five and half inches of rain since January 1. With fire season now officially underway in Southern California, CAL FIRE is asking homeowners to ensure that they are prepared for wildfires and that every home has 100 feet of Defensible Space. Here are some tips to help prepare your home for fire season: Maintain 100 feet of Defensible Space Clear all needles and leaves from roofs, eaves and rain gutters. Trim branches six feet from the ground. Use trimming, mowing and power equipment before 10 a.m. Landscape with fire resistant plants. Use fire resistant building materials on your home. Assembly clears bill to educate high school students on financial literacy Assembly Bill 166 authored by Assemblymember Roger Hernández passed the Assembly Floor with a 77-0 vote. The bill promotes financial literacy in high school curriculum which includes education on budgeting, student loans and managing credit and debt. “AB 166 provides the tools and resources to assist our students to become better prepared and financially sound for their future. Improving California student’s financial literacy skills would protect students against predatory lending, credit fraud and other deceptive practices,” said Hernández. Currently, California does not have an official state policy or educational plan for the teaching of financial literacy. A bien-
nial survey by Jumpstart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy, conducted between 1997 and 2008 showed financial literacy of high school seniors had fallen from 57% in 1997 to a record low of 48% in 2008. “The teaching of financial literacy will help our students improve their knowledge on basic money management, financing for college and buying a home which can be passed on to successive generations. Financial knowledge is a key predictor of financial behavior, we need to provide the tools at an early age to ensure their success in the future,” stated Hernandez. AB 166 is heading to the State Senate where the bill is awaiting committee designation for consideration.

California’s median home price posts highest level in five years as intense competition increases, A.A.R. reports Strong sales in highercost coastal regions and heated market conditions drove California’s median home price to its highest level in March since May 2008, while inventory shortages continued to stifle home sales, the Arcadia Association of Realtors® reported. “While home sales were essentially flat from February, sales declined moderately from last year, as an extreme shortage of available homes continued to dictate the market,” said 2013 A.A.R. President Andy Bencosme. “Statewide inventory dropped 36 percent from last March and was below 3 months for the second time in the past few months. Supply conditions are particularly tight in the lower-priced segment of the market, as inventory for homes priced below $300k plunged more than 50 percent from the previous year.” Closed escrow sales of existing, single-family detached homes in California totaled a revised seasonally adjusted annualized rate of 417,520, according to information collected by the California Association of Realtors from more than 90 local REALTOR® associations and MLSs statewide. March closings were up a slight 0.1 percent from a revised 417,310 in February but down 4.9 per-
cent from a revised 439,260 in March 2012. The statewide sales figure represents what would be the total number of homes sold during 2013 if sales maintained the March pace throughout the year. It is adjusted to account for seasonal factors that typically influence home sales. The statewide median price of an existing, singlefamily detached home climbed 13.7 percent from February’s $333,380 median price to $378,960 in March, reversing a two-month decline. The month-to-month increase was the highest since C.A.R. began tracking this statistic in 1979. The March price was up 28.2 percent from a revised $295,630 recorded in March 2012, marking the 13th consecutive month of annual price increases and the ninth consecutive month of doubledigit annual gains. “No doubt the dearth of home listings is driving the upsurge in the median price, as is an increase in sales in the higher-priced segments,” said A.A.R. Executive Vice President Andrew Cooper. “Sales of homes priced $500,000 and higher are up more than 34 percent from last year, and have been on a rising trend since early 2012” Other key facts of the March 2013 resale housing
report include: The available supply of homes for sale fell significantly in March, falling to a 2.9-month supply, as measured by C.A.R.’s Unsold Inventory Index. The March Unsold Inventory Index for existing, singlefamily detached homes was down from 3.6 months in February and down from 4.2 months in March 2012. The index indicates the number of months needed to sell the supply of homes on the market at the current sales rate. A six- to sevenmonth supply is considered normal. Mortgage rates edged up in March, with the 30year fixed-mortgage interest rate averaging 3.57 percent, up from 3.53 percent in February but down from 3.95 percent in March 2012, according to Freddie Mac. Adjustable-mortgage interest rates also edged up, averaging 2.63 percent in March, up from 2.61 percent in February but down from 2.77 percent March 2012. Homes continued to move off the market faster in March, with the median number of days it took to sell a single-family home decreasing to 29.4 days in March, down from 34.2 days in February and down from a revised 52.2 days for the same period a year ago.

Denim Day in Monterey Park - April 24 The Monterey Park City Council passed a resolution at its April 17, 2013 meeting]making Wednesday, April 24, 2013 Denim] in Monterey Park. The city joins with cities across the United States in participating in Denim Day to promote public awareness to misconceptions about sexual assault and the victims of sexual assault. Denim Day was established in 1999 after the California Legislature’s Women’s Caucus learned of a protest of a court decision that occurred in Italy. The Italian Supreme Court overturned a rape conviction. In
overturning the conviction, the Chief Judge stated that because the victim wore tight jeans she had to have helped the perpetrator remove them no longer making it rape but consensual sex. Enraged by the verdict and the judge’s statement, within a matter of hours the women of the Italian Parliament launched into immediate action and protested by wearing jeans to work. This call to action motivated the California legislators to do the same. Peace Over Violence], a Los Angeles County based Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence victims’ advocacy organization, pro-
moted the idea and the first Denim Day-L.A. was created. Denim Day is now recognized throughout the United States. As part of the City of Monterey Park’s observance of Denim Day, city employees will be permitted to wear jeans to work on Wednesday, April 24. Adam Schiff (DCA), a senior Member of the Intelligence Committee, released the following statement in response to the bombings in Boston yesterday: “As the nation comes to grips with yesterday’s horrific events, I echo President Obama’s vow that those responsible will be made to feel the full weight of justice, and no effort will be spared to track them down. While we wait for the FBI and local investigators to identify, locate and apprehend the bomber or bombers, I am certain that many Americans share my determination to keep this country an open and secure society – one in which people can go to the movies, drop their kids off at school, or run in one of the world’s great marathons without fear. And I have every confidence in the resilience of the people of Boston, who have been through a terrible trauma. “We will know much more in the coming hours and days about whether this was a home-grown plot, the
product of self-radicalization, or a foreign driven attack. In the meantime, I will be working to make sure the intelligence community provides all necessary support to the investigation.” One of the 20, 000 runners participating in Boston Monday was Tim Osti, 45, of Sierra Madre. He was unharmed. The Boston Athletic Association listed dozens of Boston Marathon runners from Pasadena and the surrounding area on its website. The next big race in our area is the Mount Wilson Trail Race in May but organizers say there are many other larger events in the country but nonetheless they’ll be extra vigilant. Pete Siberell, the director of the MWTR told Beacon Media that the upcoming Mount Wilson Trail Race committee has not yet made plans for extra security…. “but we will be discussing this at our next meeting. I will be reaching out to Sierra Madre Police Chief Giannone before that meeting. Obviously there are much bigger profile racing events in the country and the LA area, but if there is something more we can be doing to make things safer for our participants and spectators that makes sense, we will explore it.” Los Angeles County Sheriff, Lee Baca said his
men and women are also on heightened alert following Monday’s bombing. “While the cause of the explosions this morning at the Boston Marathon are still under investigation, our vigilance has been raised,” said Sheriff Lee Baca. “The heightened alert of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department includes increased patrols to create a more visible presence where people congregate, such as government buildings, shopping centers, athletic events, and public transit. Pismo Beach in Spring By Greg Aragon Pismo Beach is a gem on California’s rich central coast. With small, beach town charm, legendary surfing waves, and a burgeoning local wine industry, the city has grown into an exciting, eclectic destination for the discerning traveler. A friend and I began a recent getaway to Pismo Beach at the oceanfront Cliffs Resort (www. cliffsresort.com), where we checked into a modern and comfortable 4th floor suite. Known around the world for its surfing beaches, Pismo has now also become a hot spot for wine-lovers and connoisseurs. With a unique Mediterranean climate, helped by ocean-front hills that channel the right amount of wind and sunlight into its vineyards, the region is perfect for year-round wine tasting. Pismo Beach’s lush backyard includes the wine regions of Edna Valley, Arroyo Grande, and Avila Valley, where varietals such as Pinot Noirs, rich Chardonnays, Zinfandels, Cabernets, and velvety-smooth Merlots are produced by some of the most respected winemakers in California. What we found engag-
ing about the region is the intimate setting in which many of the wineries are set. Many of the facilities are familyrun, with owners waiting to great guests at the front door. One such intimate vineyard that we visited was Center of Effort (www.centerofeffortwine.com) a beautiful estate pitched along southfacing slopes in the western Edna Valley, just 4.5 miles from the Pacific. The winemaking at this operation is led by Mike Sinor and Nathan Carlson, both veteran Edna Valley winemakers. Mike and Nathan told me about their handcrafted process of premium French oak barrels for aging and native fermentations, and about their latest Chardonnay creation. Back at Shell Beach we had lunch at Lido Restaurant and Lounge, located on the water, at exclusive Dolphin Bay Resort (www. thedolphinbay.com). Here we dined on Morro Bay oysters, shrimp cocktails, and curried shrimp with rice and veggies. While eating we met Chef, Brian Collins, who spoke of the inspiration behind his California Coastal Cuisine.
After lunch we lounged by the pool at The Cliffs Resort and then then drove downtown for wine tasting at Tastes of the Valleys (www. tastesofthevalleys.com), a quaint shop with more than 600 wines by the glass. For dinner we discovered Sea Venture Restaurant (www.seaventurerestaurant. com), located on the 3rd floor inside the Sea Venture Resort. With a memorable sunset view, we devoured Oysters Rockefeller, Cesar
salad, baked salmon, and a Sea Venture signature trio of shrimp, scallops, crab cake and tossed with pancetta. We complemented the meal with local wine from Edna Valley, and cheese cake for dessert. Rep. Schiff calls on President Obama to recognize Armenian Genocide Rep. ACF-LA announces composition competition winners The American Composers Forum of Los Angeles (ACF-LA) has named three winning composers, whose works for string trio will be premiered at the Armory Center for the Arts, Tuesday, April 30th at 7:00PM: Jonathon Grasse, Helena Michelson, and Joseph Pereira. The winning compositions will be performed by Ina Veli, violin; Alma Fernandez, viola; and Timothy Loo, cello. Red Hen Press, a partnering sponsor for the event, is also presenting poetry readings from Brendan Constantine and LillianYvonne Bertram on the evening’s program. The evening of music and poetry is free and open to the public. The event is supported, in part, by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors through the Los Angeles County Arts Commission and made possible in part by the Pasadena Arts and Culture Commission and the City of Pasadena Cultural Affairs Division. Jonathon Grasse is a composer, ethnomusicologist, and electric guitarist based in Los Angeles. His undergraduate studies and subsequent graduate work at UC Santa Cruz and a PhD from UCLA focused his expertise on the music of Brazil and Indonesia. He helped co-found the Institute for the Pedagogies of World Music Theories where he lectures
on various issues related to theory, composition and the inclusion of world musics into the classroom. His publications include articles and reviews on Brazilian music topics, and a co-authored book chapter on American composer Lou Harrison’s compositions for gamelan. In addition to holding a professorship at California State University Dominguez Hills, he is active in the Los Angeles improvisation scene, performing electric guitar with Surrealestate, the Grasse/ Hay/Steck Trio, and the Decisive Instant ensemble. Helena Michelson was born in Moscow, Russia and grew up in Riga, Latvia, where she began studying piano at age five. She received her early music instruction at the Jazeps Medins School of Music in Riga and, after moving to the United States, continued at the Preparatory Department of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where she studied piano with Mack McCray. It was during her studies as a pianist at UC Berkeley that she shifted her focus to composition, ultimately receiving a doctorate in Music Composition and Theory from the University of California, Davis. She has been a participating composer in MusicX, at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Mu-
sic, an invited composer at Domaine Forget in Quebec, and a composition fellow at the Composer’s Conference at Wellesley College. As a performer of her own music, she has recently appeared at UAHuntsville New Music Festival and INNOVATION—New Music Festival at University of Central Missouri at Warrensburg. Joseph Pereira was appointed Principal Timpanist of the Los Angeles Philharmonic by Esa Pekka Salonen in 2007. He currently runs the percussion department at USC’s Thornton School of Music while also teaching at the Juilliard School, where he has been on faculty since 2005. As a composer, Joseph Pereira’s most recent commission, from the Miro Quartet and percussionist Colin Currie, is to be premiered in the 2012/13 season on their U.S. tour. Locally, in the 2011/12 season, the Los Angeles Philharmonic commissioned and premiered his percussion concerto for soloist Colin Currie. Pereira performs the work again this season with the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Gustavo Dudamel in Los Angeles and in London at the Barbican. Also in the 2011/12 season, LA Phil members premiered his new piece for amplified double bass quartet as part of their chamber series.

LASD auto theft detectives seek chop shop suspect Detectives assigned to the Taskforce for Regional Autotheft Prevention (TRAP), have been targeting professional auto theft rings involved in vehicle identification number (VIN) switching automobiles and reselling them to unsuspecting victims. On April 8, 2013, detectives tracked a stolen vehicle to the 6700 block Miramonte Boulevard, Florence (Unincorporated South Los Angeles). During the investigation, auto theft detectives discovered eight active stolen vehicles of various makes and models. A search warrant of the suspects’ residence revealed the location was being used for a VIN switching operation. The suspects would steal vehicles, change the identity of the vehicle (VIN switch the vehicles) and then sell them to innocent purchasers. The vehicles recovered were all stolen within the last thirty days, except for one which was stolen approximately one year ago. The ma-
jority of these vehicles were stolen from the City of Los Angeles out of the Wilshire, Pacific and Valley areas. The suspects specialized in Toyota, Scion and Lexus products with Corollas and Camrys being their vehicles of choice. It is believed that this operation has been functioning for some time and that these individuals are responsible for stealing in excess of a hundred vehicles. Arrested at the residence were brothers, 19 year-old Juan Mercado and 22 yearold Danny Garcia. Suspect Mercado was arrested for Owning/Operating a Chop Shop, while Suspect Garcia was arrested for Buying a Vehicle for Resell with Knowledge of Fraudulant Identification. Both were initially held on $50,000 bail. Detectives are seeking an additional suspect, 40 yearold Juan Carlos Mercado Sr., who is the father of the above named suspects. Detectives have obtained a $95,000 felony warrant for Owning/Op-

consumer products like alcohol and acrylamide, which forms naturally during the baking, frying, or roasting of plant-based foods like coffee, potatoes, and asparagus. The idea for the legislation came from Assemblyman Gatto’s Small Business Advisory Commission, formed earlier this year to advise him on challenges facing local small-business owners. The eight member commission discussed a variety of concerns impacting small businesses and voted unanimously for Gatto to introduce the bill to reform Prop. 65 so that the law’s intent is not undermined. “I had the opportunity to listen to concerns of local business owners on my Small Business Advisory Commission. The severe negative impact of harassing lawsuits under Prop. 65 was immediately apparent,” said Gatto. “Most business owners work hard to protect customers so that the customers return. This is especially true with small-business owners whose customers are neighbors, friends, and relatives. This common-sense bill will help small businesses avoid costly litigation while ensuring that the public has
prompt and proper warnings about potentially dangerous chemicals.” Gatto’s bill and his Small Business Advisory Commission have already helped create change on the issue of Prop. 65 abuse. After AB 227 was introduced, a member of the commission whose business had received a Prop. 65 notice was informed by the plaintiff’s attorney that the case would not be pursued. Assemblyman Gatto was happy to know that he had helped a constituent but noted that there were still many more businesses being threatened. Although the law originally intended to apply to serious exposures or failures to warn, a small number of attorneys have recently abused Prop. 65 by targeting local small businesses that lack significant resources for legal defense. In 2012, more than two-dozen brick-and-mortar businesses in Southern California, including restaurants and cafés in Burbank, Glendale, Pasadena, and Los Angeles, have been threatened with Prop. 65 lawsuits. “Threatening a small business with a lawsuit for serving its customers coffee with their breakfast, vegetables
with their lunch, or a glass of beer or wine with dinner is absurd,” said Gatto. “The vast majority of California’s attorneys behave ethically, but a few bad apples are giving the profession a bad name by threatening people who are just trying to make a living.” Prop. 65 allows for fines of $2,500 per day, enforced by any person. Some people suing businesses expect that a small business, wary of litigation costs, will opt for a quick settlement to make the lawsuit go away. AB 227 would further the original intent of Prop. 65, which was obtaining compliance with warning requirements for chemicals present on a site. It would therefore allow a business that receives a notice of a private action to correct the violation, i.e., post the Prop. 65 warning, within fourteen days without being subject to the retroactive $2,500 per day fine. “The voters passed Prop. 65 to be protected from chemicals that would hurt them. They did not intend to create a situation where shakedowns of California’s small-business owners would cause businesses to want to close their doors,” said Gatto.

take a peek at life a little less seriously, and enjoy what’s really important ….a bloody good guffaw. From the ‘Russians are Coming” to “It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad world” to television’s Mork and Mindy and some truly classic appearances on just about every talk show of the day, Winters remained calm cool collected and infectiously hilarious. His own shrot-lived television show was ahead of its time as was Winters himself. I couldn’t help but laugh, just seeing his face. The old grey lady, the New York Times had this to say about Jonathan Winters last week: “Mr. Winters, a rotund man whose face had a melancholy basset-hound expression in repose, burst onto the comedy scene in the late 1950s and instantly made his mark as one of the funniest, least definable comics in a rising generation that included Mort Sahl, Shelley Berman and Bob Newhart. Mr. Winters was at his best when winging it, confounding television hosts and luckless straight men with his rapid-fire delivery of bizarre observations uttered by characters like Elwood P. Suggins, a Midwestern Everyman, or one-off creations like the woodland sprite who bounded onto Jack Paar’s late-night show and simperingly proclaimed: “I’m the voice of spring. I bring you little goodies from the forest.” A one-man sketch factory, Mr. Winters could reenact Hollywood movies, complete with sound effects, or create sublime comic nonsense with simple props like a pen-and-pencil set.” It was his brilliant improvising that garnered the world’s attention. The very first time I met Jonathan Winters, I felt a distinctive bond. He was at a trade show of some kind in Santa Barbara, sometime in the 1980’s. I happened upon this giant of a star and plucked up the courage to talk to him. He detected a British accent and immediately asked to see my credentials/papers (i.e., Green card) in his finest London accent. Needless to say, I complied with the rather resolute Winters, who after examining the card, said … “Ok, how did you get here?” I told him the story and the conversation went on like this for some time. Winters, a big fan of British culture and natives, welcomed me to America. Needless to say, I was thrilled and even moreso
when he allowed me to take a picture of him examining my legal right to be in the US. My second encounter with Mr. Jonathan Winters was in the late 1980’s in Santa Barbara, at, of all places, the Santa Barbara Polo Fields for some event I was covering, when I spied the actor donning a Straw hat, akin to those one would wear at a cricket match. He was sipping soda water and holding court with some of Santa Barbara’s “A – listers.” I think there might have been a polo match and a Concours d’elegance of some sort . However, I kept my trusty F3 pointed in Winters’ general direction. Some classic photos were made that afternoon. Ever courteous and always remembering my name, he and his wife Ilene were tremendously gracious in social situations at fancy events when Jonathan was getting some award or other, or in their home in the hills of Montecito just south of Santa Barbara. After getting use to me and my camera being a part of their social lives, Ilene would say, “ look Jonathan, there’s Terry,” as they were being escorted into some private event. He’d wave and always stop for a shot and a quick story. The first thing he usually said when he saw me was “ Click.. Click…” referring, of course, to the sound of my Nikon shutter clicking away each time I photographed the truly flamboyant funny man. Either that, or he forgot my name. One classic interview comes to mind when I and the paper’s top reporter, Monica Prinzing were assigned to do an in depth story on Winters’ life. We got the okay from his publicist and said we could have an hour at the Winters’ house in Montecito, outside Santa Barbara. We stayed there the entire afternoon. I sat on the floor in Jonathan’s living room snapping some candid shots as Winters seemed to fall into one of several characters with each change of hat. I could barely stop laughing long enough to click the shutter on my Nikon F3 loaded with Tri X. Luckily I did, and some memorable images were made. At one point, hours into the epic journey, Jonathan got a ‘phone call. He told Ilene he couldn’t talk (to his agent) - he was “in a very important meeting.” That meeting was of course, with us (
a small community newspaper- interviewing a comedic genius loved the world over.) It gets better. While Monica was laughing trying to get her notes straight, I asked Jonathan what his favorite character or movie role was. He thought for a split second and told me his favorite film was ‘The Loved One’ …a dark comedy about an undertaker. It was at this point, Jonathan Winters invited Monica and I into his bedroom. This in itself was funny, very funny indeed but knowing Winters’ propensity for collections, we knew we were in for a rare treat. He first pointed to the beautifully framed poster of “The Loved One”, again describing how proud he was of that film with such an impressive cast. He then pointed out some toy iron soldiers he had on display in a beautiful cabinet ( he collected rare tin soldiers ) Winters picked one up…a British soldier and said “ Here Terry, give this to your Dad…he was in the RAF, wasn’t he?” I was stunned by his generosity and moreover a few weeks later, I received an autographed photo commemorating our visit to his home complete with one for my mother and father. That image, reprinted here, has a pride of place in my mother’s home to this day. As we walked the hallowed halls of Winters’ comfortable ranch home in Montectio, he pointed out some letters signed from just about every U.S. President he had painstakingly framed. He was not only a good painter but a great history buff. When the article was published, Winters called my apt. on De La Viva street asking to buy some of my images shot that wonderful day. He didn’t want any “ freebies” he insisted…but of course, I made sure he received a copy of every picture I made. I continued to do same with each encounter I had with Winters. A few weeks after our interview, Winters was getting a another in a series of awards . This time it was at the very posh Four Season Biltmore overlooking the Pacific ocean in Montecito . Time pressed on and the guests were ushered into the exclusive hall where we were not allowed to shoot any more images. Winters waited outside and spoke with a few friends . My colleagues and I shot a few more images and figured Williams was a noshow. Reluctantly, I stated
to walk out with the Santa Barbara Independent photographer when I noticed someone in sweats talking to the concierge. It was none other than Robin Williams, presumably asking where he might find his mentor, Jonathan Winters. I gently nudged my colleague, did an about face and we both followed Robin Williams as he went to see Winters. The priceless images we took for
those few moments will stand out in my memory as one of the greatest meetings of comedic minds I’d ever witnessed. The image of Winters and Williams ran across the front page the next day. Last Friday we lost the world’s greatest improvisational actors in the unique form that was Jonathan Winters. You will forever and always be, the loved one.
