MS Football Hits the Gridiron By: Gunner Delp
The DeKalb Middle School Football team played against Rock Port on Tuesday, September 9th. The game took place here at home. This was the first game to kick off the Middle School Football Season! The DeKalb Middle School Football team put up a great effort but “Inexperience got the best of us,” said Coach Roberts. The final score at the end of the game was 8 to 14. With this being the first game of the season, there are lots of improvements to be made. The Football boys agree that what they can do at practices to get better is to, “Listen more, practice harder, and respect each other.” These are great standards to follow by in order to win more games. The next game to be played for their season is on Monday, September 15th, at Mound City. So make sure to come out and support our football boys!
