Warms the soul with love, laughter and the meaning of tradition

ne of the all-time classics, âFiddler on the Roofâ takes the stage with a fresh vision of this beloved theatrical masterpiece from Tony winner Joseph Stein and Pulitzer Prize winners Jerry Bock and Sheldon Harnick. Everyone will want to hum along to âTradition,â âSunrise, Sunset,â âIf I Were A Rich Man,â âMatchmaker, Matchmakerâ and âTo Life (LâChaim!).â Heartwarming themes center on fathers and daughters, husbands and wives and life, love and laughter. Created by Tony-winning director Bartlett Sher and the team behind âSouth Pacific,â âThe King and Iâ and 2017 Tony-winning Best Play âOslo,â the show features a talented cast, lavish orchestra and stunning movement and dance from Israeli choreographer Hofesh Shechter, based on original staging by Jerome Robbins, Set in Imperial Russia around 1905, the tale is based on âTevye and his Daughtersâ (or âTevye the Dairymanâ) and other tales by Sholem Aleichem. Tevye, a milkman in the village of Anatevka, attempts to maintain his Jewish traditions as outside influences encroach upon his familyâs lives.
