Musician finds success as a country music star, moving audiences with powerful tunes

Three crewman and 11 people in the building died, but Betty, who died in 1999, still holds the Guinness World Record for longest survived elevator fall. • While John and Clarence Anglin, two of the only three men who ever escaped from Alcatraz, were officially reported to have drowned in the bay, their mother received flowers anonymously every Mother’s Day until she died, and two very tall, unknown women were said to have attended her funeral. ountry fans should get their boots out of the closet in preparation for Aaron Lewis, who will soon hit the stage. In 2010, Lewis made the leap from nu metal band founding member of Staind to a solo career in country music, showcasing his talent as lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist. His debut EP, “Town Line,” was released in 2011. Lewis’s first full-length solo release, “The Road,” was released by Blaster Records in 2012. Fans can likely expect to hear some of his country chart toppers, including “Country Boy” (which he recorded with George Jones and Charlie Daniels), “Endless Summer,” “Forever,” “Granddaddy’s Gun,” “That Ain’t Country,” and “Am I the Only One,” this last track which is off his fourth solo album, “Frayed at Both Ends,” released in early 2022. Lewis was born in a log cabin. He said in a July 2011 interview that he was introduced to country music as a child by his grandfather, but his interest was rekindled when he toured with fellow rock turned occasional country singer Kid Rock. Fascinating facts about The Twilight Zone • TOnly one episode has a sequel. Despite having two reboots in 1985 and 2002, The Twilight Zone only has one episode with a second part. The original series’ season three episode “It’s A Good Life” was turned into a sequel in the 21st-century reboot. Cloris Leachman and Bill Mumy reprised their respective roles of the mother and her mindcontrolling son, making them the only two actors to appear in both the original and 2002 series. • Only one actor appeared in all five seasons. Many actors have appeared multiple times on the program, but only one has the distinction of appearing in all five seasons. In total, Robert McCord appeared in 67
episodes, most of them as an extra. • Serling’s on-camera introductions started in season two. Serling’s famous on-camera introductions didn’t start in earnest until the second season. During the first season, Serling only appeared on camera during the promotions for the next week’s episode. • ‘Star Trek’ actors appeared on the series. William Shatner appeared in two episodes, “Nightmare at 20,000 Feet” and “Nick of Time.” Leonard Nimoy appeared as a soldier in the Philippines during WWII in the episode “A Quality of Mercy.” George Takei played a Japanese-American man in the infamously banned episode “The Encounter.”
