MCCORMICK’S RARE CARS TO CROSS AUCTION BLOCK Own a piece of hot rod history! McCormick’s Car Auction will showcase nearly 600 hot cars, including classics, antiques, muscle cars, European sports cars, trucks and motorcycles. This 64th show on wheels will also display stunners from Hollywood’s silent movie era as well as Rat Pack roadsters, like Charlie Chaplin’s Packard, Dean Martin’s Cadillac, a 1957 Chevrolet Nomad and hundreds of others. Proprietor of McCormick’s Classic Cars, Keith McCormick, has announced that on Sunday, there will even be free Mimosas and Bloody Marys in the main auction tent be-
fore the final day of cars start crossing the auction block at the rate of 20 per hour. The twice yearly car auction has become a Palm Springs institution. Car enthusiasts show up to do some serious bidding as well as just take photos and take in the visuals, especially on opening day when the auction is free and open to the public. The collectible cars represent a chronological history of our modern era, providing an investment opportunity or just great fodder for the hobbyist. Don’t miss that first strike of the gavel.
