Stay young by volunteering ‘reinvent summer’
By Alison Elsner For DMHN When we are young, the end of the school year usually means experiences like summer camp. Many of us remember these treasured times in our lives where we were able to meet
new friends, try our hand (or body or mind) at things like horseback-riding, swimming, art, story-telling and even help out with animals or community projects. Just because we’re grown up doesn’t mean that we can’t create new and potentially life-changing experiences.
We just have to make it happen. Some of the most fun, enlightening and beneficial activities include volunteering. The Coachella Valley is loaded to the gills with volunteer opportunities at highly worthy organizations in need, with the added advantage of staying cool in someone
