ADVISING PROGRAM
Prepare yourself for high school, college, and beyond. Guidance and support are critical to our students’ development. That is why our renowned guidance program provides mentoring and coaching experiences in both class and informal settings — ensuring you grow at your own pace and in your own way. Our distinguished faculty members serve as your advisors, mentors, and advocates, making it a priority to know you well. With their oversight, you will develop critical skills in self-advocacy, teamwork, and accountability as you learn time management, organization, and study skills needed to balance a demanding schedule. Our structured programs are designed for individualized attention. In our Arrupe Division, you will meet daily with your advisors who will help guide you throughout your transition to BC High and prepare you for the demands of high school. Starting in Grade 9, you will meet weekly with your guidance counselor in small classes with no more than 12 students. You also will meet with them one-on-one to further discuss your personal, academic, and career goals ensuring you feel supported throughout your experience.

HYDE CENTER FOR GLOBAL EDUCATION
The world will be your home. BC High’s urban location and international focus play a pivotal role in our academic philosophy by linking classroom-based studies with real-world experiences that test students’ resolve and expand their comfort zone. The Hyde Center for Global Education was founded by Lawrence Hyde ’42, after visiting 194 countries in the world. His vision was to provide students with opportunities to travel oversees as they discover who they are and their place in the world. As you create your own unique path to transform into a global citizen, you will continue with your journey of becoming a “man for others.” The incredible breadth of our partnerships with fellow Jesuit institutions instills cultural literacy, language fluency, and a global perspective that will position you to succeed in an interconnected world. Our alumni are bonded by strong values and a dedication to support one another. BONDS OF BROTHERHOOD AND THE STRENGTH OF THE ALUMNI NETWORK
BC High alumni provide scholarship funding for current students and internship positions for both students and alumni. Through the BC Hire Internship Program, alumni are able to connect with young men exploring different career paths and help in their journey of self-discovery. There were more than 200 internship opportunities this past summer at a variety of for-profit and non-profit organizations.
BC High produces creative thinkers and ethical men who go on to achieve great things. The outstanding colleges our graduates attend provide compelling evidence of our success, but that list is only part of the story. A strong moral compass and a desire to use knowledge for the good of humanity also set our alumni apart. CLASSES AND SERVICE IN BOSTON Students benefit from our convenient urban location, minutes from downtown Boston, allowing us to integrate the city into our classrooms. Field trips bring hands-on, real-life experiences into lesson plans. From the Museum of Fine Arts to the Edward M. Kennedy Institute, we take advantage of all the city has to offer.

Our students represent more than 120 communities in the greater Boston area, with some traveling from as far as New Hampshire, Cape Cod, and the greater Worcester area. More than 75% of our students utilize public transportation to get to and from school.

Personalized tours show all aspects of the school including classrooms, art studios, music rooms, athletic facilities, the Corcoran Library, and the Hyde Center for Global Education. OPEN HOUSES October and November
At our Open Houses, you will meet current students, faculty, coaches, staff, and alumni. Take a guided tour of campus with a student who will share his transition to BC High as well as his maturation and growth at the school. Interact with faculty to learn how they will engage and challenge you in the classroom. Get the inside scoop on applying for admission and financial assistance. Given the rising costs of higher education, we strive to make BC High affordable for our families. Tuition for 2018-2019 is $21,300 and we offer financial assistance, merit scholarships, and tuition payment plans to assist families as needed.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE Through the generosity of our community we are able to award more than $6 million in financial assistance to our students each year. All students who apply for admission are automatically considered for merit-based academic scholarships. To apply for need-based financial aid, please complete the application by your application deadline. Financial aid applications that are submitted after the deadline will not be considered until late spring depending on the availability of funding.
