Our Arrupe Division, comprised of grades 7 and 8, was founded over ten years ago. With a commitment to academic excellence combined with character formation, you will find a safe, nurturing, and innovative atmosphere to prepare you for your high school years. Prepare yourself for high school, college, and beyond. Guidance and support are critical to our students’ development. That is why our renowned guidance program provides mentoring and coaching experiences in both class and informal settings — ensuring you grow at your own pace, and in your own way. Our distinguished faculty members serve as your advisors, mentors, and advocates, making it a priority to know you well.With their oversight, you will develop critical skills in self-advocacy, teamwork, and accountability as you learn time management, organization, and study skills needed to balance a demanding schedule. Our structured programs are designed for individualized attention. In our Arrupe Division, you will meet daily with your advisors who will help guide you throughout your transition to BC High and prepare you for the demands of high school. Starting in Grade 9, you will meet weekly with your guidance counselor in small classes with no more than 12 students. You will also be able to meet with them one-on-one to further discuss your personal, academic, and career goals ensuring you feel supported throughout your experience.

“ Coming from a large extended family of proud students and alumni, BC High is practically in my DNA. When the fall of 2012 finally arrived, I entered the Arrupe Division and began to experience BC High firsthand. Early on, I earned a spot on the football team, but to my disappointment I was cut from both the hockey and baseball teams. Inspired by BC High’s “Open to Growth” mentality, I joined the rugby team and the choir as a freshman — two groups my seventh-grade self had never expected to join — in addition to playing football. My early mornings at choir rehearsals and late afternoons at football and rugby practices began to shape my schedule, my friendships, my work ethic, and my faith. Before I knew it, I was forging my own path through the halls of Morrissey Boulevard. I grew from those early bumps in the road to experience some of the greatest relationships and moments of my life, such as competing to win the 2017 MIAA Division 1 Rugby State Championship, the school’s third consecutive title. Through unforgettable moments shared with teammates and peers, I have discovered for myself why my family is so proud to be part of the BC High community.”

BC High alumni provide scholarship funding for current students and internship positions for both students and alumni. Through the BC Hire Internship Program, alumni are able to connect with young men exploring different career paths and help in their journey of self-discovery. With the number of opportunities increasing, there were more than 180 available this past year at a variety of for-profit and non-profit organizations.
BC High produces creative thinkers and ethical men who go on to achieve great things. The outstanding colleges our graduates attend provide compelling evidence of our success, but that list is only part of the story. Getting Here Arrive Each Day by Train, Car, or Bus Only a five minute walk from the Red Line train stop at JFK/UMass and conveniently located close to I-93, our campus is easily accessible. Our students represent more than 120 communities in the greater Boston area, with some traveling from as far as New Hampshire, Cape Cod, and the greater Worcester area. Through your commute to school each morning, you will learn essential skills as you venture onto the train, take a car ride, or rely on bus service. Having this experience contributes to character formation as the ideals we teach come to life — cleaning up after oneself on the train, quietly respecting professionals gearing up for the office, or giving up a seat for an elderly passenger. 16

Tuition We believe strongly that your commitment to a BC High education will provide an unparalleled investment in your future. Given the rising costs of higher education, we strive to make BC High affordable for our families. Tuition for 2017-2018 is $20,400 and we offer financial assistance, merit scholarships, and tuition payment plans to assist families as needed.
Financial Assistance Through the generosity of our community of alumni, parents, and friends of the school, we are able to award more than $6 million in financial assistance to our students each year. All students who apply for admission are automatically considered for merit-based academic scholarships, and awards are granted based on the strength of the applicant pool. To apply for need-based financial aid, please complete the application by visiting www.mytads.com and clicking on “Financial Aid Assessment.” Your family’s 2016 tax documents must be submitted to complete the application. All applications must be completed between September 8 and December 15. Late applications, depending upon the availability of funds, will be considered in late spring. We cannot guarantee that funding will be offered to applicants who miss the deadline.
