MANAGER'S MESSAGE

As I sit down to write this, it’s hard to believe that Labor Day is just around the corner For those of you who are heading out for the season, I wish you safe travels, and I look forward to welcoming you back soon For those who are still with us, we ’ ve got some exciting moments ahead While Labor Day weekend marks the close of one season, it also kicks off the best time of year on Cape Cod sunny days, cooler evenings, along with stunning sunsets

dy wrapped up their season, you will certainly be missed And to those still ard work and commitment in making Ocean Edge the exceptional resort and

s, especially in regard to our Jack Nicklaus Signature golf course With very ought conditions, we faced a few setbacks We also experienced a temporary well failure during a period of extreme heat, which affected our irrigation Thanks to the quick response and installation of a new pump and motor, we ’ re on the road to recovery. While turf loss did occur, we ’ re actively implementing detailed recovery strategies, including verti-cutting, aerification, and seeding with a drought-resistant variety Additionally, hand-watering and the use of wetting agents are helping to restore the course to its usual standards. We’re exploring long-term solutions to ensure we have reliable water access moving forward into 2026, so this doesn’t impact us again

I’d like to express my thanks to everyone for your patience and understanding as we ’ ve worked through these challenges We are doing everything we can to restore optimal course conditions, and we’ll continue to monitor and improve as we go On a brighter note, our weekly Wine Down Wednesdays and Friday Nights at the Linx have been a big hit, continuing to foster engagement and bring members together The feedback I’ve received on our food and beverage offerings and services has been overwhelmingly positive, and I’m thrilled that so many of you are enjoying these experiences Our addition of breakfast at the Linx and the expanded offerings at the Member Sports Club have also been well-received, and I’m grateful for all the compliments These really go out to our entire team who work tirelessly to make Ocean Edge the wonderful destination that it is.

But we ’ re not done yet! We still have a full calendar of exciting events lined up, including the Senior Club Championship, our upcoming Wine Walk, Pickleball and Tennis events, OEMGA and OEWGA golf events, a Fall Wine Dinner, the End-ofSeason Mixer, and more Make sure to reserve your spot for these events so you don’t miss out on all the fun!

Looking ahead, we ’ re excited for the rest of the year here at Ocean Edge, and I want to personally thank you for the opportunity to be part of this incredible community My door is always open to answer any questions or address any concerns you may have. Please don’t hesitate to reach out I’m always happy to hear from you. You can contact me directly via email at Stephan Harrington@oceanedge com or by phone at 571-278-2860

Thank you for your continued support and feedback I look forward to closing out another amazing season with all of you

CLUB NEWS

I would like to start off with a heartfelt thank you for the many Members who have approached me over the past month sharing their best wishes as I embark on another role within the Ocean Edge organization It is just shy of 20-years ago that I came to Ocean Edge as the PGA Director of Golf & Club Operations, turning the club private as the redesign of the course by Nicklaus Design was taking place Since then, a lot has taken place within the Club and Resort, and it is truly gratifying to know how much the Membership

appreciates what has taken place and looking forward to what lies ahead The Club and Resort have not stopped growing, always looking to develop stronger relationships with our Members & Guests, improve services across every aspect of our amazing property, and to be the Premier Club and Resort on Cape Cod. I look forward to the opportunities and challenges ahead with my newer role as the Director of Operations, as we continue this great journey to broaden our horizons on who we are as a Club & Resort, but never lose focus of our core values as “The Family” Club & Resort on Cape Cod.

Ocean Edge Resort & Club is unique in such a way that by blending the Resort offerings to include and welcome Club Members, we expand membership offerings that most Clubs cannot match Oktoberfest weekend celebrations with live music and specialized food and beverage offerings is just one of many opportunities by where we embrace the Resort aspect of our Club to provide expanded social entertainment opportunities. Trivia Nights, Wine Dinners, Murder Mystery Dining Events, Holiday Brunches, are all opportunities for our Membership to participate and enjoy! We will always have our Members Only social events, but hopefully we can continue to embrace and share the Resort sponsored events to truly maximize all that Ocean Edge has to offer to you and your family!

We continue to have an amazing interest with our Membership and thank you again for all the referrals that have come to the Membership office. Referring your friends to the Club is something that we hold in the highest regard, and we thank you for your support The Golf Wait List is a shining example of your support of the Club Most of our current Members on the GWL are member referrals, which is a true testament of how the Club, and the golf course, are embraced by our Members.

It is always great to welcome our newest members to the Club and to thank all of you for being a part of Ocean Edge.

I look forward to seeing you throughout the balance of the year and as always, if there is anything that we can do to make your time here at Ocean Edge Resort & Club better, please let me know Feedback is fuel and can only help make us a better Club & Resort

On behalf of the entire Club team, please join me in welcoming our newest Members to the Ocean Edge Club:

Laura MacDonald, Full time Brewster resident

Barton & Lynn Roe, returning to the Club! Chatham residents

Caroline McCarley & Dan Harkinson, Full time Brewster residents

Pamela Griffin, new Ocean Edge homeowner

John & Jennifer Glass seasonal Chatham residents

It is with great pleasure that we welcome our newest members, and once again, thank you for the continues support and referrals to the Club! The best Clubs are built with great relationships and camaraderie, both of which are found within our amazing Membership!

THE GLASS WELCOME NEW MEMBERS FAMILY

The Glass family are happy to be the newest members at Ocean Edge! They have a summer home in Chatham and reside in Weston, MA during the school year. Both John and Jennie grew up in Illinois and attended Purdue University where they earned their undergraduate and graduate degrees. They met in high school and will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary on June 1st, 2026. They have an amazing daughter, Ava, who will be 16 in May along with a feisty Jack Russell Terrier, Winston, and a calm Scottish Straight cat, Sloane.

Currently, John is the Senior Director of Engineering at MathWorks where he oversees engineering efforts in the company’s Natick, MA headquarters for teams that build the user interface for MATLAB and MATLAB Copilot. In February, John will celebrate 25 years with MathWorks. In his spare time, John loves to travel, walk, read, and, of course, golf! Jennie is a former personal trainer and 4th grade teacher. Presently, she spends time volunteering to help her daughter’s crew team, and she also served on the PTO Board for the Weston Public Schools for 4 years. Jennie enjoys traveling with her family, golf and Barre classes, and she has run 4 marathons. Ava will be a Sophomore at the Weston High School this fall. She is a proud member of the Varsity Wayland-Weston Crew Team! Ava enjoys physical activity, crocheting, and she also sings in the school choir. During the summer, Ava works at the Candy Manor and Jackie’s in Chatham. We are trying to convince her to play more golf. We are all excited to meet new people and partake in the many fun activities offered here at Ocean Edge.

2 Projects

In late July, we began clearing several overgrown areas, including:

Right of the chipping green

Near the 10th tee

Behind the 10th green

Looking ahead to August, we’ll continue this work in other areas:

Between holes 5 and 11

Around the 3rd green

Along the right side of hole 4

Our process includes mowing down the overgrowth, cleaning up debris, and applying herbicide to eliminate unwanted species The long-term goal is to establish clean stands of fescue in these areas, with seeding planned for the fall to ensure consistent native turf moving forward

We’ve also finalized plantings for the wetlands, installing 500 native wetland plants. These were chosen for their ability to create a natural habitat while remaining low growing. To help them establish, we’ll continue trimming around the new plants and removing invasive species such as vines, honeysuckle, and wild raspberry.

On the course, we edged the right fairway bunker on hole 4 Previously hidden from the tee box, this bunker is now visible, improving both playability and aesthetics Next, we are turning our attention to edging overgrown areas around the greenside bunkers to enhance definition and overall presentation

Course Etiquette Reminder

To help protect the course, please remember to:

Use cart paths whenever possible and enter/exit fairways at a 90-degree angle

Rake bunkers and place rakes on the low side when finished

Repair your ball marks on greens

These small steps make a big difference in keeping the course in top condition for everyone

Thank you for your continued support and cooperation. Please don’t hesitate to give us a wave out on the course we ’ re always happy to step aside or wave you on when it’s safe to play

This summer has been a hot one! We were happy to see so many people using the MSC pool and enjoying the new lounge offerings. Our new lounge food items are extremely popular, and our Food and Beverage

staff have been wonderful to work with. We will miss them when they return to their home countries and hope to see them next year!

Fitness Class Update: The fitness classes continue to be well attended. We appreciate all your feedback on the class registration. A huge thank you to Samantha in membership for putting it all together!

Fitness Class Spotlight: If you have not tried our evening classes, you are missing out. Chris teaches a variety of unique cardio, strength, and stretching combinations on Mon/Tues and Wed. All levels are welcome!

End of Summer Workout Tip: As the summer winds down and we transition into fall, take time to really enjoy the seasonal amenities at the MSC. Take a swim or float in our pool or walk down to Blueberry Pond and take out a kayak, or even better, do both! We have so many beautiful places to take your workout outside, and before we know it, the fall will be here.

ERIN’S PEACH & AVOCADO GREEN SALAD

I was trying to find a summer salad that everyone at a summer gathering could enjoy. You can add a protein option like grilled chicken or steak tips, but the salad alone was amazing!

DIRECTIONS

INGREDIENTS

Green Salad

½ small red onion, very thinly sliced (about ½ cup) 10to12ounces baby arugula (12to15lightly packed cups)

2medium ripe peaches or nectarines, pitted and thinly sliced, peels on or off (about2 cups)

2medium ripe avocados, diced (about2 cups)

⅔ cup unsalted sliced almonds

⅔ cup crumbled mild blue cheese*, such as gorgonzola (about 3 ½ ounces)

Lemon Dressing

¼ cup extra virgin olive oil

¼ cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (from 1 to 2 lemons)

½ teaspoon Dijon mustard

1clove garlic, pressed or minced

¾ teaspoon kosher salt or a heaping ¼ teaspoon fine sea salt

¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

1.Make the salad: Place the red onion in a small bowl and cover with water. Let it rest while you prepare the rest of the salad. (This will keep the flavor of the onion but remove some of the harsh after-bite.) Place the arugula in a large serving bowl.

2.To toast the almonds, place them in a small skillet over medium-low heat. Cook, stirring frequently (careful, they can burn), until the almonds are fragrant and starting to turn golden on the edges, about 4 to 5 minutes. Set aside.

3.Make the dressing: In a small bowl or large liquid measuring cup, whisk together the dressing ingredients (the oil, lemon juice, mustard, garlic, salt, and pepper).

4.Drizzle half of the dressing over the greens, then toss to coat. Drain the red onion, then scatter it over the arugula. Top with the peaches, avocados, almonds and cheese. Just before serving, drizzle on a bit more dressing and give it a final, gentle toss to combine Enjoy, with additional dressing as desired
