A.W.A.R.E. The Alliance of White Anti-Racists Everywhere (A.W.A.R.E.) is a new student group at Bay. Our goal is to support Bay students who identify as White to take steps towards becoming antiracist by exploring our own racial identity, learning to effectively and compassionately interrupt racist acts, and supporting movements for racial justice. Through group discussions, guest speakers, community partnerships, and other resources, we hope to offer tools for personal and collective growth. We are working to make this a judgment-free space for questions, mistakes, and learning. Topics will include: how to have uncomfortable conversations, how to be a white ally, racism and white supremacy culture at Bay, cancel culture and social media, intersectionality, and more!
ANIMAL AWARENESS The mission of Animal Awareness is to help support animal shelters and educate the Bay community about inadequate circumstances that animals are being put into. We hope to empower students to get involved in their communities by volunteering and raising funds for certain animal rights organizations. Everyone is welcome! Activities include learning about animal abuse, volunteering at local animal shelters, writing letters to both animal rights organizations and organizations that animal test, watching educational videos, as well as planning outings and events.
ANIMAL PROTECTION & WELLNESS Our purpose is to both educate the Bay community about current issues facing animal welfare worldwide as well as do projects in order to improve animal wellbeing. During club periods we watch documentaries, brainstorm project ideas, and plan projects and activities.
ART CLUB Art club is a space for artists to cultivate their work, aesthetic, and passion in an open and supportive group. This club will motivate young artists to try new things, take risks, and share their work while fostering a tight-knit community. We will provide a mixture of fun, low-stakes activities in different mediums,
