Sometimes the places that feel most restorative are the ones familiar and beloved enough that you’ve been returning to them again
and again. Beyond the Bay Area, new-home communities are taking shape amid waterways, mountains and the wine country, offering buyers a lock-and-go lifestyle in destinations already woven into weekends,
holidays and time away. What changes with ownership is the freedom to make those places part of everyday life, whether for a weekend, a season or eventually full time. In communities from the
Delta to Lake Tahoe and Napa Valley, new construction can add another advantage: less time maintaining a getaway and more time enjoying what drew you there in the first place. At Delta Coves on
Bethel Island, two Blue Mountain Communities neighborhoods give buyers different ways to live on the water, says Joe Klusnick, marketing director for Blue See CAMERON Pg 2

New luxury estate homes in Wine Country
Ask about our highly upgraded move-in ready homes!
Homebuyers seeking new home luxury and convenience in the spectacular wine country now have three exciting communities from which to choose their dream home. Western Meadows, an exclusive gated community secluded on Napa’s tranquil west side, provides privacy and seclusion alongside easy access to renowned wineries and resorts, shopping and dining, schools and sports fields, culture and entertainment, world-class golf courses, and outdoor recreation. Priced from the mid-$3 million range, Western Meadows features architecturally distinctive single-level estate homes ranging
from approximately 4,156 square feet on spacious pool-sized homesites, while select homesites also offer coveted vineyard views. Innovatively designed, expertly crafted, and thoughtfully appointed for sophisticated home buyers seeking the casually elegant Napa lifestyle, these incredible new homes feature open, spacious great rooms, professionally appointed epicurean kitchens, formal dining rooms for grand- scale entertaining, and, of course, abundant wine storage.Covered indoor/ outdoor living and entertaining areas seamlessly open the home’s interior to the location’s seclusion and serene natural beauty.
Located near Trancas Road and Villa Lane in the heart of Napa, surrounded by quiet, well-established neighborhoods, Vintage Farms offers a lifestyle-friendly living environment for everyone from active empty-nesters to busy growing families.Starting from the mid-$1 million, single- and two-story home designs range from approximately 1,870 to 2,859 square feet and include up to five bedrooms and four baths.Select plans also feature an Accessory Dwelling Unit with both interior and separate exterior entrances — perfect for multi-generational households, guests, live-in household assistants, or a home office.
Surrounded by acres of open space among the rolling hillsides of Petaluma’s west side is Scott Ranch, an idyllic community of thoughtfully designed and elegantly appointed two-story homes just minutes from spectacular regional parks and Petaluma’s historic downtown with its full calendar of year-round festivals and events, shopping, dining, arts, and entertainment. With quick and easy access to Highways 12, 116, and 101, Scott Ranch offers affordable luxury combined with commuterfriendly convenience to employment centers throughout the wine country, Marin and
Solano Counties, and even bustling downtown San Francisco. Homes range from approximately 3,152 to 3,364 square feet, including an Accessory Dwelling Unit with both interior and exterior access, a sitting area, a kitchenette, a bedroom, a walk-in closet, and a full bath. With only a few homes still available, Scott Ranch is almost sold out! In addition to an impressive array of included features, buyers in all of these exceptional new home communities will have the opportunity to select from a curated collection of designer upgrades and builder options to further
personalize their new luxury home. With an almost 50- year tradition of crafting homes of lasting value and neighborhoods of distinction throughout Northern California, Davidon Homes is the Bay Area hometown builder you can trust to design and construct your family’s new home with the utmost care, sensitivity, attention to detail, and the latest innovations in the building industry. Cameron from page 1 Mountain. The original neighborhood offers five one- and two-story home designs, including quick-move-in homes right on the waterfront. “The Cottages are two-story waterfront or village homes, each of which has its own boat dock and slip, so you can get in the boat and be on fast water within 10 to 15 minutes,” Klusnick explains. From there, residents can head toward the Bay Area, take in a Giants game from the water or travel up to Sacramento and return home without ever setting foot on land. The Cottages start in the mid-$500,000s, “a number that’s hard to find, especially right on waterways,” says Klusnick. He adds, “The Cottages are also literally a stone’s throw from the community clubhouse, which we call Island Camp.” In addition to the beloved Duffy Boat Bar, the clubhouse has everything from yoga and a weight room to pickleball, sand volleyball and a basketball court. “It’s an amazing, central focus of the community.” Just outside the community, residents are minutes from the new Safeway shopping center in Oakley, with the broader Delta landscape offering

shoreline trails, fishing, paddling, birding and miles of open-water scenery to explore. “Many of our homeowners treat Delta Coves as their weekend getaway,” Klusnick says. “They’re in the hectic Bay Area lifestyle during the week and want a quieter retreat, where they can park the boat and decompress on the weekend.” With roughly 7,400 acres of protected waterways accessible from the community, that lifestyle appeals to everyone from families looking to
spend weekends boating with children and dogs to couples nearing retirement who envision eventually making Delta Coves their primary home. Follow those waterways northeast and Sacramento offers another interpretation of life by the water. Water shapes everyday life at Northlake Another variation on waterfront living can be found at Northlake in Sacramento, where Lennar Sacramento offers waterfront homesites throughout
its master-planned community. Here, the water serves more as a scenic backdrop to everyday life. Waterfront homesites are dispersed throughout the community, while a clubhouse, swimming pool, park and playground create additional places to gather and spend time outdoors. Beyond Northlake, North Natomas expands those possibilities with an extensive network of trails and parks, including the 212-acre North Natomas
Regional Park. Northlake’s homes and homesites accommodate households at different life stages and with different ideas about how they want to live. Some feature California rooms or other indooroutdoor spaces that bridge home life with the surrounding setting. The North Natomas location also puts homeowners close to walking and biking trails and other neighborhood recreation. And for a community that feels peacefully insulated, it’s almost surprising
that Old Sacramento, downtown dining and entertainment and Golden 1 Center are only about a 10- to 15-minute drive from home. From Sacramento’s waterways, the possibilities stretch east into the mountains. Lock, leave and come home to Lake Tahoe Heading into the Sierra Nevada, the landscape and pace shift again. Luxury living is entering a bold new era where the ultimate status symbol is no longer simply owning a spectacular property. Today’s elite homeowners want something more powerful: a private residence that delivers the comfort, service, and unforgettable experiences of a five-star hotel without ever leaving home. The rise of luxury homes offering hospitalityinspired living is reshaping real estate expectations. In my view, this trend represents the future of premium living because people are no longer buying only square footage and beautiful architecture. They are investing in a lifestyle that saves time, creates emotional value, and transforms everyday routines into extraordinary moments. Modern luxury estates are now designed like private resorts. Expansive wellness centers, spainspired bathrooms, cheflevel kitchens, wine rooms, cinema spaces, and resortstyle pools are becoming essential features rather than extravagant additions. Homeowners want spaces that support relaxation, entertainment, and personal wellness at the highest level. What truly separates these residences from traditional luxury properties is the focus on personalized service. Private chefs, housekeeping teams, wellness
professionals, concierge services, and smart home systems are becoming part of the luxury home experience. The goal is simple: make every day feel like a vacation tailored specifically to the homeowner’s preferences. This shift also reflects a changing definition of success. For decades, luxury was often measured by size, location, and exclusivity. While those elements remain important, today’s affluent buyers are increasingly prioritizing convenience, privacy, health, and meaningful experiences. A magnificent home is no longer impressive because of what it displays. It is impressive because of how it makes people feel. Architects and designers are responding by creating homes that feel immersive. Natural materials, indoor-outdoor connections, dramatic lighting, and personalized technology are being combined to create environments that feel calm, elegant, and effortless. Many luxury properties now resemble boutique hotels with the advantage of complete ownership and privacy. Another exciting
development is the influence of global hospitality brands on residential design. Buyers are seeking homes that capture the atmosphere of luxury resorts found around the world. From Mediterranean-inspired retreats to urban penthouses with hotel-level amenities, residential spaces are becoming personal destinations. I believe this movement is more than a passing trend. It represents a major evolution in how people think about home ownership. As life becomes increasingly fast-paced, the desire for comfort, restoration, and exceptional service will continue to grow. The luxury home of tomorrow will not simply be a place to live. It will be a private sanctuary designed to deliver the highest quality experiences every day. The future of luxury real estate belongs to properties that combine architectural beauty with five-star hospitality. The most desirable homes will not just impress guests. They will provide owners with a level of comfort and care that feels like having the world’s finest resort reserved exclusively for them.

The architecture shift defining Northern California’s next luxury homes
By Matt Rozo Luxury in Northern California is entering a more thoughtful era. The oversized rooms, predictable finishes, and expensive materials that once signaled prestige are losing their power. Today, the most compelling luxury homes are defined by something harder to purchase and far more difficult to imitate: exceptional architecture. In my view, this is one of the most important shifts happening across Bay Area residential design. Architecture is no longer simply the container for luxury. It is becoming the foundation of it.
That philosophy is particularly relevant when considering the work of Edmonds + Lee Architects, William Adams Design, and LOCZI Design. Each brings a distinct perspective, but together they reflect a larger movement toward homes where proportion, materiality, craftsmanship, and personal expression matter more than obvious extravagance. Edmonds + Lee Architects demonstrates why architecture can fundamentally change how a home feels. Their residential work emphasizes spatial relationships, natural light, circulation, and
the connection between architecture and everyday life. Rather than treating luxury as a collection of impressive rooms, the approach creates a complete experience. A staircase becomes an architectural event. A window becomes a carefully positioned relationship with the landscape. A change in ceiling height can alter the emotional character of an entire space. That is luxury with substance. William Adams Design brings another critical layer to the conversation: precision. In high-end residential design, proportion is not an abstract
architectural principle. It determines whether cabinetry feels elegant, whether a kitchen feels balanced, and whether materials work together rather than compete. Adams’ approach to interior architecture and residential design demonstrates the value of craftsmanship, thoughtful spatial planning, and details that reward attention over time. This matters because expensive materials alone do not create sophistication. Poorly proportioned rooms covered in beautiful stone are still poorly proportioned rooms. LOCZI Design pushes the conversation
in a more expressive direction. Its Bay Area work demonstrates that luxury does not have to mean restraint without personality. Bold materials, contrast, color, texture, and unexpected details can coexist with sophisticated architecture. In my opinion, this is where Northern California luxury becomes particularly interesting. The region does not need to imitate the polished formality of other luxury markets. It can be confident, relaxed, inventive, and deeply personal. The future of Northern California luxury homes, then, is not
about adding more. It is about designing better. The strongest homes will begin with architecture and continue with interiors that respect the structure, the site, the materials, and the people who live there. Proportion will replace excess. Craftsmanship will replace spectacle. Authenticity will become more valuable than status. That is the architecture shift worth watching. And if Bay Area designers continue pushing in this direction, Northern California may define a new version of luxury altogether: quieter, smarter, more personal, and ultimately far more enduring.
Why color is coming back to California luxury interiors By Matt Rozo California luxury interiors are finally having a personality again. For years, the formula for an expensive-looking home seemed almost suspiciously predictable: soft beige, creamy white, pale wood, sculptural furniture and just enough black to make everything feel intentional. It was elegant, certainly. But in my opinion, it became far too safe. Now, color is pushing its way back into luxury interiors, and the change feels less like a passing trend and more like a correction. The new California luxury is expressive. It is layered, confident and deeply personal. Instead of designing a home to look universally appealing, homeowners are increasingly embracing spaces that actually say something about who they are. That philosophy feels particularly aligned with Noz Design, the San Francisco-based interior design studio known for highly personal residential interiors. Its work demonstrates that sophistication does not require restraint at every turn. Color, pattern, art and unexpected
combinations can create rooms that feel elevated while still feeling alive. And that distinction matters. Luxury should not mean walking into a room and immediately wondering which showroom supplied every piece. The most compelling interiors have a sense of discovery. They contain something unexpected. Perhaps it is a jewel-toned sofa, a dramatic wallpaper, a saturated ceiling, an unusual tile or an antique
sitting confidently beside contemporary furniture. Color is especially powerful because it changes the emotional temperature of a room. Deep green can make a space feel enveloping and connected to nature. Rich burgundy can add drama and intimacy. Cobalt blue can bring electricity to an otherwise restrained palette. Warm terracotta and ochre can make contemporary architecture feel more grounded. Even pink, when handled thoughtfully, can feel
sophisticated rather than sweet. The trick is not simply using more color. It is using color with conviction. Noz Design’s projects offer a persuasive argument for this approach. In its Mission Boho Home, vibrant jewel tones, expressive patterns and playful motifs transform a previously stark interior into something energetic and unmistakably personal. In the Dolores Park Townhouse, dark navy walls
and patterned wallpaper create a layered, glamorous atmosphere while allowing the client’s treasured objects and art to feel integrated rather than incidental. That is where contemporary luxury is heading. I believe the era of designing homes primarily for approval is fading. People want interiors that reflect their experiences, collections, memories, humor and individuality. They want homes that feel collected rather than copied.
And California is an ideal place for that evolution. Its design culture has always balanced modernism with creativity, architecture with nature, and sophistication with an easygoing spirit. There is no reason luxury here should be limited to neutrals. The future of California luxury is not beige versus color. It is intention versus imitation. The most beautiful homes will be the ones brave enough to have a point of view.

Photo courtesy of DeNova Homes Calistoga pairs vineyard and mountain scenery with a wine Country lifestyle that can make both the commute and the weekend getaway feel like part of the experience.
Cameron from page 2 or year after year, the appeal is familiar: winter days on the slopes, summer on the water and weekends that can be as full of entertainment or as unhurried as they want them to be. What is less common in South Lake Tahoe is the chance to own something brand new and use it in more than one way. At The Villas at South Shore, each of the 14 new homes can serve as a primary home, a second home or, when owners are away, a short-term rental that can help offset some of the cost of ownership. Now under construction and expected to be ready for owners this winter, the three-story homes are within walking distance of Ski Run Marina and close to
Heavenly, Stateline, restaurants and everyday conveniences. Each includes a garage and an additional exterior parking space, giving owners room to leave a car or some of their recreational gear in Tahoe between visits. “The only to-do list you need before you come up is what you want to do during your time in the mountains,” says Christopher Brown, broker and principal of Rosevillebased NEXT New Homes Group, whose sister company, NEXT Crafted, is building The Villas at South Shore. “Your biggest chores might be unloading the groceries, getting on the water or going skiing.” That leaves more of every weekend for Tahoe itself instead of maintaining an older mountain home. Depending on the season, homeowners can walk to
the marina, head out on the lake, ski at Heavenly, spend an evening around Stateline or simply decide what sounds good once they arrive, without a maintenance list dictating the weekend. As a result, the home becomes less of a reason to come up and work, and more of a reason to wind down at altitude in Tahoe. Everything is within reach in the wine country Over the mountains to the west, the lockand-leave lifestyle takes on a wine country character in Calistoga, another favorite destination beyond the Bay Area. There, Silverado Terrace is taking shape as a community of 50 contemporary condominiums tucked into downtown Calistoga. In the heart of Calistoga, the DeNova Homes community is
within walking distance of restaurants, shops and attractions. And the homes even offer mountain views. The wine country lifestyle extends well beyond the restaurants just outside the door. Even the commute to Santa Rosa, Petaluma or other points in the Bay Area blend pleasantly into the natural environment. From downtown Calistoga, scenic routes wind through vineyardlined hills and along the Silverado Trail, turning everyday travel into something far more scenic. “From Silverado Terrace, you’re also only 12 minutes from the Culinary Institute of America in St. Helena, and all around us there’s this incredible mix of farm-to-table restaurants, elevated dining and places where the ingredients really reflect the Napa
Valley,” says Brigitte Nowinski, marketing manager for DeNova Homes. “You can make an evening of it, or simply walk out your front door and find something amazing close by, from casual favorites to truly innovative cuisine.” That same easy access carries into the rest of the wine country lifestyle. For year-round residents, weekdays can begin with cycling, running or walking through town, Nowinski says. Those who make Silverado Terrace their weekend home away from home can head out early for longer rides before the wineries open, stop at the farmers market on the way back for fresh finds, then settle in for a restful afternoon before heading out to explore the surrounding wineries, restaurants and other Napa Valley destinations.
Seasonal events add another layer to the lifestyle. The Calistoga Fairgrounds, just half a mile away, is home to the Vintage Revival Rodeo, a three-day event each October that brings together rodeo, food, music and small-town celebration. For buyers from the Bay Area, communities like these deliver more than a different setting. Buying new construction in these locations makes it easier to spend time in the places you already enjoy, whether that means keeping a boat steps from the Delta, coming home to Tahoe without a weekend repair list or settling into wine country with restaurants, recreation and everyday necessities close at hand. It could be that the right new home in one of your favorite parts of the world makes more room for the life you want to live.
California’s most desirable gated luxury communities redefining elite living in 2026 By Matt Rozo California has always represented the ultimate dream of luxury, sunshine, and opportunity, but today’s most desirable gated communities are taking that dream to an entirely new level. The state’s elite buyers are no longer searching only for impressive homes. They want privacy, security, wellness, breathtaking surroundings, and a lifestyle that feels like a permanent vacation. In my view, California’s top gated luxury communities are becoming the true symbols of modern success. They offer something increasingly rare in a fast-moving world: peace. While urban neighborhoods continue to grow busier, these private enclaves provide residents with a sense of calm, exclusivity, and control over their everyday environment. Among the most sought-after destinations is The Estates at Monarch Beach, where coastal beauty meets sophisticated living. Positioned near the
Pacific Ocean, communities in this area attract buyers who value ocean views, high-end amenities, and a relaxed yet refined lifestyle. Coastal Orange County continues to be one of California’s strongest luxury markets because it delivers both prestige and livability. Another standout is Hidden Hills, a community famous for privacy and celebrity appeal. Its spacious properties, equestrian atmosphere, and gated streets create a rare feeling of countryside living within reach of Los Angeles. For buyers seeking discretion, Hidden Hills remains one of the most recognizable luxury addresses in America. Northern California also continues to attract luxury homeowners through communities such as Blackhawk. Known for elegant estates, championship golf, and scenic surroundings, Blackhawk represents a different vision of California luxury. It combines suburban comfort with resortstyle amenities, making
it especially appealing to families who want space without sacrificing sophistication. Further south, Rancho Santa Fe continues to hold its reputation as one of the state’s most exclusive residential areas. Its private estates, lush landscapes, and understated elegance attract buyers who prefer timeless luxury over flashy trends. The community proves that true prestige often
comes from refinement rather than attention. The biggest trend shaping California’s gated luxury market is the demand for lifestyle-driven homes. Buyers are prioritizing wellness spaces, smart technology, outdoor entertainment areas, private gyms, and nature-inspired designs. A luxury residence is no longer just a place to live. It has become a personal
retreat designed around comfort and experience. California’s most desirable gated communities are also benefiting from a growing appreciation for longterm value. Limited inventory, exceptional locations, and strong demand continue to make these neighborhoods attractive investments. Owning property in these communities is about more than status. It
represents access to a lifestyle few places in the world can match. The future of California luxury real estate will belong to communities that combine exclusivity with authenticity. The most successful developments will not simply offer expensive homes. They will offer a complete vision of elevated living, where privacy, beauty, and connection come together.

Building your dream ADU: Faster, smarter construction is redefining family living

Perpetual Homes’ new Del Mar ADU in Danville offers customizable, high-quality, efficient prefab living with premium finishes and thoughtful design at an affordable price point.
On a quiet suburban street, a crane lifts a fully finished home over a backyard fence as neighbors stop to watch. By sunset, an empty patch of grass has become a light-filled cottage with oak floors, a compact modern kitchen, and French doors opening onto a patio. It’s the kind of streamlined, designforward accessory dwelling unit (ADU) that companies like Perpetual Homes are bringing into backyards across Northern California. Traditional homebuilding has long been synonymous with delays, cost overruns, and uncertainty. Weather interruptions, labor shortages, and
fragmented inspections can stretch timelines and strain budgets. Offsite construction, by contrast, offers a streamlined alternative. In a prefab model, the home is built in a controlled factory environment while site preparation happens simultaneously, dramatically reducing construction time and minimizing delays. Companies like Perpetual Homes have embraced this approach to create turnkey ADUs that combine efficient off-site construction with high-end residential design. Rather than treating prefab housing as utilitarian, the focus is on homes that
feel intentional, livable, and tailored to modern family needs. But speed is only one advantage. Factory construction allows for tighter quality control, more consistent materials, and rigorous inspections throughout production. It also reduces material waste, incorporates energy-efficient systems, and often uses healthier materials such as lowVOC finishes and formaldehyde-free insulation. Perhaps most important, prefab construction offers homeowners something traditional building often cannot: greater confidence in the timeline, budget, and final product.
For decades, the American backyard was associated primarily with leisure — pools, patios, and open lawns. Increasingly, however, homeowners are viewing that space differently. An ADU transforms underused land into something functional, flexible, and enduring: housing for family members, rental income, workspace, or a combination of all three. It represents a shift not just in construction, but in how people think about home itself. Rather than asking, “What can I put in my backyard?” homeowners are increasingly asking, “How can this property better support the
people who live here?” More and more, the answer is an ADU. Off-site construction and ADU development are not passing trends. They are practical responses to some of today’s biggest housing challenges: affordability, flexibility, sustainability, and changing family needs. Prefab construction offers a faster and more reliable path to building. ADUs create adaptable living spaces that support multigenerational families, generate income potential, and make better use of existing property. Together, they represent a fundamental shift in how housing is conceived and built:
smaller, smarter, more flexible, and more responsive to real life. Companies like Perpetual Homes are helping lead that shift by combining off-site construction, thoughtful design, and turnkey efficiency into homes built for the way people live today. In a housing market under increasing pressure, ADUs are no longer simply an alternative — they are becoming part of the future of American housing itself. Homes where collector-level furniture becomes the main attraction By Matt Rozo Interior design is entering a bold new era where homes are no longer built around empty rooms waiting to be decorated. Instead, some of the most inspiring residences today are designed around collector-level furniture, rare objects, and iconic design pieces that deserve the spotlight. This shift represents a powerful change in how people view luxury. The most desirable homes are not simply expensive. They are personal, curated, and filled with pieces that carry artistic value. For years, many luxury interiors followed a predictable formula: oversized spaces, matching furniture sets, and flawless finishes. While beautiful, these rooms often lacked personality. Today’s design leaders are challenging that approach by treating furniture as art. A single sculptural chair, vintage table, or limited-edition lighting fixture can influence the entire architecture of a room.
This approach creates spaces that feel more like private galleries than traditional homes. Every object has a purpose and every piece contributes to the story of the residence. The result is an environment where craftsmanship, history, and creativity become the true symbols of wealth. The rise of collectorfocused interiors also reflects a growing appreciation for authenticity. Homeowners are increasingly searching for pieces with character instead of mass-produced items that can be found everywhere. A hand-crafted cabinet from a renowned designer or a rare mid-century lounge chair offers something beyond appearance. It provides a connection to culture, innovation, and design history. In my view, this movement is one of the most exciting developments in modern interiors because it rewards individuality. A home should reveal the personality of the person living there, not
simply follow a showroom trend. The most memorable spaces are those where unexpected combinations create visual tension and emotional impact. Designing around exceptional furniture also changes the relationship between architecture and interiors. Instead of adding furniture after
construction is complete, architects and designers are considering important pieces from the beginning. Room proportions, lighting, materials, and sight lines are carefully planned to enhance the beauty of these collectible items. This philosophy is becoming especially influential among
collectors who see furniture as an investment in creativity. Like fine art, exceptional design pieces can appreciate in value while also providing daily enjoyment. They transform ordinary routines into experiences surrounded by beauty. The future of luxury homes will likely belong to those that embrace
thoughtful curation over excessive decoration. The strongest interiors will not be defined by how much they contain, but by how meaningful each piece feels. Collectorlevel furniture brings emotion, history, and artistry into everyday life, proving that a home’s greatest luxury is having a story worth sharing.

Why new homes in Carson City deserve a place on your search
Carson City offers access to Northern Nevada recreation, nearby destinations, and a growing selection of new homes for a variety of lifestyles.
For Bay Area homebuyers considering a move to Northern Nevada, Reno and Lake Tahoe may be the first places that come to mind. But between those familiar destinations and the Carson Valley, Carson City offers another possibility worth exploring. Nevada’s capital is uniquely positioned for those who want access to many of the experiences that draw people to Northern Nevada. Lake Tahoe and Reno are each about 25 minutes away,
while Carson Valley is close by. Mountain recreation, city amenities, and some of the region’s most scenic destinations are all within easy reach, while Carson City maintains a character all its own. Outdoor recreation is part of the lifestyle. Hiking and mountain biking trails, the Carson River, golf, and nearby skiing offer plenty of reasons to get outside throughout the year. Carson City’s historic districts, museums, local restaurants, and community events add another
dimension for buyers looking for more than a weekend destination. For those considering a larger move, location is only part of the decision. The home itself matters, too. New construction gives buyers the opportunity to explore contemporary floorplans, flexible living spaces, and home designs created for the way households live today. Jenuane Communities offers several new homes in Carson City, giving buyers different
ways to consider making Nevada’s capital their next home. At The Ridge at Valley Knolls, buyers can explore one- and twostory homes in a setting surrounded by scenic hills and recreation, with downtown Carson City approximately 10 minutes away. A variety of floorplans provides options for different lifestyles and stages of life. On Carson City’s east side, Timberline Crossing brings another new-home opportunity
to the area. Its Floral Grove Collection features single-family homes with a variety of floorplans, while the upcoming Silverwood Commons Collection will introduce additional home choices. Together, these communities demonstrate the variety available to buyers who may know Northern Nevada primarily through visits to Reno, Lake Tahoe, or Carson Valley but have not yet considered Carson City as a place to call home.
For Bay Area buyers considering what their next chapter could look like, expanding the home search may reveal an unexpected fit. Carson City could be closer to the Northern Nevada lifestyle they have been looking for than they realized. The kitchen is becoming the most personalized room in the Bay Area home
By Matt Rozo The kitchen is officially having a personality upgrade. In Bay Area homes, homeowners are moving beyond predictable designs and choosing spaces that reflect how they actually live. In my opinion, this is one of the best changes happening in home remodeling. The kitchen is no longer just a room for cooking. It is where families gather, guests socialize, meals are prepared, coffee is enjoyed, and everyday life happens. That makes personalization more important than simply following the latest design trend. Before beginning a kitchen remodel, homeowners should think about function first. How much storage is really needed? Where should appliances go? Is the kitchen primarily used for family meals, entertaining, or both? These questions may not be as exciting as choosing countertops, but they can determine whether the finished space feels effortless or frustrating. Cabinet selection is one of the biggest decisions
Signature from page 17 In Sacramento, Signature Homes offers two communities at Delta Shores, providing convenient access to shopping, restaurants, entertainment, and everyday essentials. The location also offers easy connections to Interstate 5
because cabinets establish the foundation of the kitchen’s style. Homeowners should consider color, door style, storage capacity, durability, and how the cabinets coordinate with countertops and flooring. A beautiful cabinet finish may catch your attention, but smart storage can make a much bigger difference in everyday life. Countertops deserve equally careful consideration. Quartz, granite, marble, and other surfaces each offer different appearances, maintenance requirements, and levels of durability. My advice is to never choose a countertop simply because it looks impressive in a photograph. See samples in person and imagine how the material will look after years of real-life use. Flooring, fixtures, appliances, sinks, and faucets should also be selected as part of the overall design rather than as isolated purchases. A kitchen can contain beautiful individual elements and still feel visually disconnected. Choosing a cohesive material palette helps create a space that feels intentional.
Bathrooms require the same thoughtful approach. Vanity cabinets, countertops, shower materials, flooring, fixtures, and lighting should balance appearance with everyday practicality. Moisture, cleaning, durability, and storage all matter. The most fashionable material is not necessarily the best material for every
household. One of the biggest remodeling mistakes is rushing the selection process. Homeowners should compare finishes, examine samples under different lighting, measure carefully, and think about maintenance before making major purchases. A remodeling project is a significant investment, so
decisions should be based on both personal taste and long-term practicality. This is where a designfocused showroom can make the process easier. Sincere Home Decor in Santa Clara offers kitchen and bath design along with cabinets, countertops, flooring, fixtures, and appliances, giving homeowners the opportunity to
consider these elements together. Ultimately, the most successful kitchen or bathroom remodel is not the one that looks exactly like everyone else’s. It is the one that feels right for the people who use it every day. In the Bay Area, personalization is becoming more than a trend. It is becoming the standard.
and downtown Sacramento. Balboa at Delta Shores features low-maintenance attached single-family homes with three to four bedrooms and up to approximately 2,260 square feet. Open great rooms create flexible spaces for everyday living and gathering, and select home designs include
a main-floor bedroom and bathroom for guests or an office. Three model homes are open daily, with homes priced from the high $400,000s. At Catalina at Delta Shores, four decorated model homes showcase single-family residences with three to five bedrooms, openconcept living areas, up to approximately
2,521 square feet, and backyard space for relaxing. The community combines contemporary architecture, elegant finishes, and energyefficient features, with homes priced from the high $500,000s. Across its communities, Signature Homes continues to focus on creating homes that complement
the way people live — with spaces that make gathering easier, outdoor living more natural, and everyday routines more comfortable. For more than four decades, Signature Homes has built homes throughout Northern California with a commitment to exceptional craftsmanship,
