NORTH BATTLEFORD — A new Blessing Box has arrived in North Battleford. A dedication ceremony was held June 22 for the project, which is located on cityowned land outside the North Battleford Fire Department. The Blessing Box is a program where people can leave donated items inside the structure, and others can help themselves to anything
they may need. The project was organized by Paige Hundt. “I think there’s a lack of accessible services in every community, honestly,” she said. “So, if someone can just have a come-and-go service where they don’t have to meet business hours, they don’t have to meet requirements, that they can come and just access items that they need, I think that’s a game changer for a lot of people.” Continued on page 2

NORTH BATTLEFORD — Keleisha Jackson, 26, was mistakenly released from the Saskatchewan Hospital North Battleford Integrated Correctional Facility following an administrative error. On June 19, the Saskatchewan Ministry of Community Safety confirmed that Jackson had been released on March 19. She currently faces charges related to assault and confinement. She is about 5-foot-3 and weighs 130 pounds. She has brown eyes and brown hair. The Ministry said Jackson isn’t believed to pose a risk to public safety. They also said that the Regina Police Service and RCMP have been
