Bravo Zulu House in Winnebago is the nation’s first all-military sober living home designed specifically for veterans living with PTSD, offering 13 beds and a holistic approach to recovery including counseling, canine therapy, and hydroponic farming. The Housing First Minnesota Foundation partnered on the project with a significant financial contribution to help complete construction alongside APX Construction Group and other community partners. Named after the naval signal meaning “well done,” Bravo Zulu House celebrates veterans’ service while providing a structured, supportive environment for healing and community reintegration. Housing First Minnesota Foundation, along with Bravo Zulu project partners, celebrated the Grand Opening of Bravo Zulu House in May 2025, and residents began moving in later in the summer.
Elevate Hope House, a collaborative project between Elevate Hope House, the Housing First Minnesota Foundation, and Spring Lake Park High School’s Construction Trades Program, is a three-bedroom home in Ham Lake that provides safe, stable shelter for young, single mothers and their children in crisis. The home’s construction brought together students, community partners, generous donors, and Land Development Partner, Lennar, to create both a learning opportunity and a pathway to housing security. Completed in July 2025, Elevate Hope House opened with a ribbon cutting ceremony and now stands as a symbol of community support and dignity for families on their journey toward stability.
As the 15th Housing for Heroes home in partnership between Housing First Minnesota Foundation, Lennar, and the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV), the completion of the Cottage Ave home in St. Paul marked a milestone for the work that these three organizations have been able to accomplish together since 2017. This 3-bedroom home and Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) will house veterans experiencing homelessness in the metro area, and the completion of the home was celebrated with a ribbon cutting in October 2025.
Veteran Village is a first-of-its-kind supportive housing community in Eagan, designed to provide 22 units of stable, semi-permanent homes for up to 36 veterans and their families experiencing or at risk of homelessness. It represents a transformative partnership between Housing First Minnesota Foundation, Lennar, the Lennar Foundation, the Minnesota Assistance Council for Veterans (MACV), and the greater housing industry—advancing the mission to end veteran homelessness across the state. Residents began moving into Veteran Village in November 2025, followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony celebrating its opening in December. This project reflects bold community commitment and housing industry support to honor those who served by offering safety, dignity, and long-term housing stability.
