25C Tax Credit Ends After December 31, 2025

According to AHRI, the federal Section 25C Energy Efficient Home Improvement Tax Credit will expire after 12/31/25:

Heat Pumps: Up to $2,000 credit

ACs, furnaces & other qualifying HVAC equipment: Up to $600 credit

Equipment must meet AHRI-verified efficiency requirements

Installations must be placed in service by 12/31/25

AHRI PIN/QM documentation may be required for homeowner filing Action: Now is the time to push qualifying year-end installs and confirm equipment eligibility through the AHRI Directory.

Pro Tip: Bundle with ComEd rebates. Even without the federal credit after 2025, ComEd’s local incentives are still relevant.
