Bartlett PhD Research Projects 2026 is the twentieth annual PhD conference and exhibition of the developing research of doctoral students at The Bartlett School of Architecture. The publication features contributions from students across Architectural Design, Architectural & Urban History & Theory, Architectural Space & Computation, Architecture & Digital Theory, Architectural Practice, and the Bartlett School of Planning MPhil/PhD programme.
This year’s conference, catalogue, and exhibition form part of a tripartite celebration: the bicentenary of UCL’s foundation; the 25th anniversary of the first student graduation on the MPhil/PhD Architectural Design programme; and the 20th anniversary of PhD Research Projects. The catalogue also features completed doctoral projects that were presented over the past two decades and have been published in book form, constituting important contributions to global architectural scholarship and practice.
