Meet Chris, Chris, & Tim – The Founders of the Barringer Family

We are a Carolinas-based general contractor committed to delivering an exceptional experience for our customers
We take a client-centered approach that allows us to build lasting relationships grounded in trust, honesty and shared goals. Titled ‘The Barringer Way’, we pride ourselves on going above and beyond to provide value every step of the way. Equally important, we have fun doing it.
The experience we provide and the quality of our team is what sets us apart. Our goal is to build far more than just a high quality space; we are dedicated to providing an experience rooted in excellence, professionalism and doing what is best for our clients and their projects.

Our Values
Generosity
We are generous with our time and contributions to our community, charities and to each other.
Authenticity
We are real and genuine in our dealings between each other and our customers.
Honesty
We are good stewards of company and customer resources. We tell the truth even when it’s hard.
Passion
We are passionate about our work and finding solutions for our customers.
We build

We’re a fun-loving group of relationship enthusiasts who genuinely love what we do.
Barringer was founded on a shared desire to revive a diminishing approach to construction services – one where handshakes still hold great value, people are put first, and the act of building something is revered as a craft, not a commodity.

Redefining the private country club member experience at a true Charlotte landmark
Carmel Country Club is a full-service private club boasting a lush 384acre landscape, upscale amenities, and multiple state-of-the-art activity facilities. Carmel underwent a significant renovation and expansion to further position itself as the most progressive club in Charlotte and redefine its members’ typical country club experience.
The club’s 21,000 square-foot expansion included additions like the new outdoor veranda and several main attractions, including the fitness center, high-end men’s and women’s locker rooms, Grand and Junior ballrooms, and updated dining areas.
An additional 67,000 square feet were renovated within the clubhouse to create a luxurious, experiential space for the club members and guests. The restrooms were updated to match the modern aesthetic, and new ones were added. The Boardroom, Presidents Room, and Founder’s Room were revitalized to create functional meeting spaces. At the same time, the main lobby is now more inviting with muted tones, creating a simplistic space that draws attention to the grand staircase.

The
evolution of a legacy for one of the most renowned private clubs in the Carolinas
Myers Park Country Club is one of the most renowned private clubs in the Carolinas, serving as an integral part of Charlotte society since the early 1920s. A family-oriented establishment committed to providing an enhanced member experience for all ages, the club underwent a 46,223 square foot expansion and renovation to increase dining options, upgrade entertainment and event spaces, and make the existing building structure more energy efficient.
A club made to entertain
Myers Park’s primary focus was to maximize space and increase the amenities available to its members. The steel-frame expansion of the two-story central portion of the building made room for a new tavern and multiple dining rooms, as well as an elevated patio terrace and outdoor covered seating. The club also underwent a complete interior renovation, including new commercial kitchens, indoor dining areas, locker rooms, and renovated ballrooms and bar areas. The club grounds were upgraded with new walking and cart paths, a new golf course entrance, and an expansive event lawn with fire pits and entertainment areas. Six different covered patios and terraces were added, complete with motorized shades, recessed electric heaters, and fireplaces, making the spaces suitable for use year-round.

We are in the final weeks of completing what will be a $28M project with Barringer and we have had a great experience. They have been a true partner all the way through the process including, the good, the bad, and the ugly.
Knowing I am not the easiest of clients and having been in the role of construction manager, I unequivocally endorse them for any project you might have.

Ground-up Modern $780K Private
BUILD AMENITIES IN SAVINGS RETURNED TO OWNER DINING EXPERIENCE
This ground-up build consisting of an entirely new clubhouse/amenity center features a culinary studio, full bar and restaurant, event center, state-of-the-art fitness center, an indoor and outdoor pool, wine room, high-end restrooms/locker rooms, an outfitter and tennis courts. Built for the Trilogy Neighborhood by Shea Homes, this clubhouse created a destination for all residents to enjoy no matter what their interests.
This stunning clubhouse features intricate stone and tile details, rich wooden floors, and distinctive chandeliers, creating an inviting atmosphere. The stylish interior seamlessly blends modern living with relaxed lakefront charm. Exposed ceiling beams complement the custom stone fireplace as a striking focal point.
Through extensive value enhancement research, we identified several alternative materials that were most cost efficient without sacrificing quality and design intent; including trim and millwork items, flooring, roof shingling and tile. In the end, these efforts saved the client over $780,000.

Building/Site
From an old pine tree farm to a luxury golf course, clubhouse, and secluded getaway
The Tree Farm is a premier destination golf club born from the vision of a PGA Tour golfer intended for golfers from across the world. Located outside of Aiken, South Carolina, this secluded property includes four guest cabins fitting ten people each and a clubhouse with a restaurant, locker rooms, and pro-shop all designed to blend seamlessly with the surrounding pines using custom wood siding and roofing.
Despite challenges from the remote location and logistics, the construction team coordinated closely with trades and clients to maintain budget and schedule. Roads were designed to follow the natural topography, while additional features like parking lots, a golf check-in, and an entry gate were completed ahead of opening.
The team drilled 300-foot wells for water systems and created detailed mock-ups to ensure quality, delivering a project that harmonized functionality with its natural setting.

Ground-up Community 250-seat Luxury
Alongside a scenic golf course, the Edgewater Golf Club Clubhouse is a thoughtfully designed two-story retreat that seamlessly blends community spirit with elevated recreation. This inviting venue serves as a vibrant hub for social connection, relaxation, and celebration.
From the moment you arrive, the clubhouse impresses with its modern yet warm aesthetic. Inside, guests are welcomed by high-end finishes, including brushed copper accents in the restaurant, intricate millwork throughout, and cozy fireplaces that create a welcoming ambiance. Outdoors, spacious dining areas and a golfer-friendly snack bar cater to both casual visitors and avid players, enhancing the clubhouse’s appeal as a go-to destination for leisure and camaraderie.
The project team undertook an extensive value engineering process to ensure the project stayed within budget. They worked closely with the owner’s team to implement a design-build approach for the secondfloor kitchen and the golf pro shop.
