Kentucky Fair & Expo Center West Wing near Beef Office, Louisville, Kentucky

DP Sales Management and the Kentucky Simmental Association welcome you to the 40th Annual Kentucky Farm Bureau Beef Expo Sale, featuring 22 outstanding consignors.

This sale brings together long-time breeders, returning participants, and new consignors, all offering elite Simmental seedstock. The Simmental show and sale has a strong history of success and continues to be one of the premier events at the Beef Expo. With record cattle markets and growing demand for Simmental genetics, this offering represents an excellent opportunity to advance herds of all sizes.

We are also encouraged by the continued growth of junior exhibitors showing Simmentals at local, state, and national levels. Many success stories from last year’s sale—both in Kentucky and beyond—are highlighted throughout this catalog.

The 2026 Kentucky Beef Expo Show and Sale will be held Saturday, March 7, 2026, the first Saturday in March. We encourage buyers to attend the show on Friday to evaluate the cattle and visit with consignors. In past years, cattle have sold into 8–12 states, with reliable transportation readily available.

This event is supported by the Beef Expo officers, breed representatives, Kentucky Farm Bureau, and the Kentucky Department of Agriculture. All consignors are offering their best cattle to help strengthen and advance your operation.

For more information, contact Drew Hatmaker (423.506.8844), Holli (859.707.5248), or any Kentucky Simmental Association board member, including President Jerod Metzger. Follow the Kentucky Farm Bureau Beef Expo on Facebook for updates, and be sure to attend the Kentucky Junior and Open Junior shows on Sunday. All sale heifers are eligible.

We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you March 6th–7th

RGH Barbie Doll 2222M is a December born show prospect ready for some competition. Her added length with a soft center body and powerful hip and hind leg, coupled with an extended front one third makes her a contender not only in the ring but in the pasture for years to come. Her sire RGH Last Man has moved up thru the ranks from heifer clean up sire to main herd sire in a short time. After limited use only on heifers he has risen to main herd sire status and may find his way to a collection facility real soon. 2207N is a perfect example of what we see out of him being stout made, well balanced and extremely soft bodied with style to burn. This peppy black white faced heifer stems from one of our favorite brood cows, BSF/BRZW Miss Carver G347. She is the picture of her white faced dam, with the improved muscling and spring of rib which I had hoped to gain by this mating. At seven years old, her dam continues to produce a great calf for us each year. She also shows keen intelligence as a mother, acting as sort of a boss cow within the herd. Doubtless, Miss Carver’s Craft will be just as functional at transmitting balanced traits into your herd when she retired from her show career. These are the fun kind to have around. They just work on several levels.

Rocking P Private Stock H010

Rocking P Private Stock H010 is a perennial favorite heifer mating here at Barlow Farms. We use him every year. I’ve noticed that the Copacetic genes take a little longer to develop, but are well worth the wait. Sporting a distinctive snip nose and other chrome markings, this late January female sort of sneaks up on you. As your eye lingers, you note that she is exceptionally deep and well-made, with a square frame, plenty of middle, and a great hair coat. The pedigree is as deep as the heifer, here; her first-calf dam is a HOOK’S Beacon 56B out of a Mr CCF 20-20 granddam, tracing back to the Hudson Pines Cream Soda cow family. Knowing the pedigree and potential in this family, I was so happy with this calf when she was born, I cried a little!

These are the ones that are hard to part with. This heifer combines all the right pieces to generate and make you money. Skeletal width is big with me and she’s got it, bone work is great, and with that show ring look that is hard to put in one that is this stout.

H H F MISS PAPARAZZI is sure enough a star. This heifer is a people person. She’s junior showman broke and has a look that draws attention. She is going to make a great show heifer, sure, but her legacy will start when you decide what to breed her to. She has the depth of body and foundation that will make her a great cow. Oh! And did we mention she’s an Entourage daughter? That’s a shot to the pedigree that doesn’t miss. His calves have been exceptional and she is no different. When you get eyes on this heifer, you’ll know exactly where her rib shape and docility came from.

H H F Gigis Apprentice

Last spring we made the decision to put our money behind something we knew could work and bought a flush to the great GiGi cow and gambled on the Journeyman bull. To say it paid off would be an understatement. With a pregnancy selling in Dwyers Foundation Female sale bringing 8 thousand dollars and a set of eggs of the same mating bringing $850 each at the KY State Simmental sale. With this heifer, the odds would be in your favor of getting a backdrop photo. This heifer is sound as a cat and moves with a ring presence that will draw any judge to her and keep his attention. With a freaky neck that ties in perfectly from shoulder to top line that carries you to a beautiful, square hip that’ll have you betting on black. Her pedigree on top of her presence makes this heifer a sure bet!

This fall-born SimAngus heifer is an excellent junior prospect and will be ready for the AJSA Eastern Regional and Simmental Breeders Sweepstakes this summer. Sired by Redemption, a Remedy son, she combines style, consistency, and function. Redemption calves are more than just cleanup cattle—they are fancy and uniform. Backed by Remedy and the WHF Sierra cow family, this heifer offers both show and breeding value.

JBSF Proud Mary

JSUL Mary Is Proud 8047F is widely recognized throughout the cattle industry as a premier producing female for Sullivan Farms. She is the result of the powerful mating between HPF Quantum Leap Z952 and JBSF Proud Mary. Her show career was highlighted by being named Calf Champion and Reserve Overall Purebred Simmental Female at the 2018 NAILE Open Show, followed by Grand Champion Simmental Female at the 2019 Fort Worth Stock Show Open Show. She was further honored as the 2018 Reserve Purebred Simmental Female of the Year. Mary Is Proud is a full sister to several highly successful cattle, including JSUL Leapin Mary 8108 and the influential sire JSUL Something About Mary 8421, reinforcing the strength of this cow family. This mating represents a full sibling to the exciting young sire JSUL Dare To Compare.

JSUL Her Majesty 1260J is a prominent Percentage donor dam for Sullivan Farms, known for producing high-value show heifers, including JSUL Her Majesty 4584M. She was the inaugural winner of the 2022 Jim Bloomberg Memorial Award at NAILE, further cementing her impact within the breed. Her progeny are consistently featured in national classic sales and major shows. This is an opportunity to tap into exciting, proven Percentage genetics.

I wasn’t able to consign a live lot to the 2026 Kentucky Beef Simmental sale. I promise next year and will bring both kids. Since unable to attend, we consigned the BEST. Genetics, special embryo lots from BFSC the Lovin the Profit donor, the top donor at Red River Farms and the best ever to carry the RRF prefix. As we have pictured the two top sellers one at $37.000 and the other at $16,000 which sold in our fall production sale. We only sold half embryo interest on 046N. Both of heifers were sired by the 2023-2024 PTP % Show bull of the year, RP/CMFM John B J104. The future of these genetics lines the pedigree with the Built to Love A021 and Built to Love 015U. The embryos you purchase are Full sibs to the high sellers. You can follow these two females all around this show season. You are going to get the same over the top quality, sib to the high sellers. The embryos will be full guaranteed and will be shipped April 1st.

We feel this is a special lot and definitely a proven one time and time again at Wayward Hill. Sierra 245S is a product of WHF Black Jasmine 240J. Paul and I have grown up around several, several generations of cows which all have produced outstanding females that mainly have been donors in our program or many others across the country. There is nothing more gratifying than having the WHF prefix and their progeny on animals for years. WHF Alley 247Y (Milestone x Sierra) 230 on her cow card, WHF Angels Envy 245A ( Milestone x Sierra) , 44 on her cow card, WHF Delilah, half sister ( Main Event x Angels Envy) WHF Delilah now owned by Beshears, 135 on her cow card. Delilah has produced Living Proof, Bluegrass 114M, Point Proven, WHF Entourage owned by WHF and Boyert and WHF Greater Good. (That’s just a few bulls). The red donor WHF Ariel 245G is a Loaded Up X Sierra. I don’t know if it can get any better. Selling 2 sets of 3 embryos with the proper guarantees (I suggest take all 6) Select the WHF Point Proven or WHF Entourage.
