On behalf of the Crescent Hill Black Herefords family and friends, I would like to begin by thanking everyone who helped make our sale a continued success in recent years. Words cannot fully express the appreciation we have for all those involved—especially the bidders and buyers who placed their trust in our programs and invested in our cattle. Since our last sale, we have continued to challenge ourselves to identify, develop, and produce the very best Black Herefords you can find anywhere in the country. With a continued commitment to introducing new genetics, supported by proven cattle through purchases, artificial insemination, and our expanding embryo transplant program, our goal remains the same: to provide cattle that will add value and profitability to your herds.
Once again, this sale runs deep in quality bulls and females. We believe, along with our family, friends and partners, we have assembled a set of cattle and genetic offerings capable of meeting a wide range of customer needs and goals. All bulls and heifers in this sale have DNA on file with the American Black Hereford Association. A select group of bulls has been Approved Herd Sire (AHS) tested and carries Genomically Enhanced EPDs. These bulls have been tested and are free of all required genetic defects as outlined by the ABHA. All other bulls are clear by pedigree unless otherwise noted and can be AHS tested if desired.
All operations represented in this sale share very similar philosophies when it comes to herd management and breeding decisions. We firmly believe that any great herd begins with proven genetics that emphasize maternal strength and longevity. Behind every great bull stands an exceptional cow, and we have built our programs with that principle at the forefront. Throughout the offering, you will find multiple animals tracing back to Dams of Supremacy. All cattle are developed on a carefully managed ration designed with soundness and long-term productivity in mind.
I would also like to take a moment to introduce Hidden Rock Ranch (HRR), owned by Travis and Penny Burchett; Grass Creek Farms (GCF), owned by Wayne and Debbie Burchett; and Windisch Farms (WFS), owned by Greg and Christine Windisch, as independent operations that are each building their own programs and registering cattle under their respective prefixes. Each of these families has made a strong commitment to the Black Hereford breed, and it has been exciting to watch their herds and visions continue to take shape. We are grateful to the Burchett family for once again allowing the use of their beautiful barn to host our sale, and we look forward to the journey ahead as these programs continue to grow and make their own mark within the breed. Nothing brings greater satisfaction than working alongside family and close friends on something we all deeply enjoy. I want to sincerely thank all three families for their dedication to raising high-quality cattle and for the enthusiasm they bring to this shared path forward. Finally, I am confident that we would not be where we are today without the countless hours and unwavering support of Doug and Susie Jones. Without them, none of this would be possible.
As you browse through the catalog, please do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions about our operations or the cattle offered. We are always happy to visit with customers and share more about our programs. Our farms are always open, and we welcome you to stop by for a tour. In advance, we thank everyone who takes the time to view our sale, place a bid, or purchase our cattle. Your continued confidence
Sincerely,
The Jones Family & Crescent Hill Black Herefords, The Windisch Family & Windisch Farms, The Burchett Family & Hidden Rock Ranch and Grass Creek Farms, The Bolte Family & 4B Black Herefords and The Wolf Family & Wolf Black Herefords.
