Each prayer request you offer up to God is important to you, and when you ask others to pray, you’re counting on them to help carry you through the tough times.

Do you give the same consideration to those who ask you for prayer? It’s easy in the busyness of life to overlook a request someone else has made. Maybe you don’t know the person very well or you don’t really understand what he or she is going through. Perhaps the request came in a text that you quickly glanced at and then deleted. Yet even with texted prayer requests, others trust you to stand in the gap for them during difficult times in their lives.

Don’t delay. Take time right when you receive a request to talk to the Lord on the requester’s behalf. Be the bridge that carries that person through the valley of darkness back to the mountaintop of joy.

Heavenly Father, help me to have a heart of compassion for those I know—and even for those I don’t know—who need Your comfort and love. Help me never to be too busy to pray for them. Amen.
