About the Halo Ball
In February 2015, a mother of three and a valued BaptistCare employee was the victim of a brutal incident of domestic and family violence. Her violent death sent shock waves through her family, friends, local community and BaptistCare’s workforce.
In response to her tragic death, calls for change became the inspiration for BaptistCare HopeStreet’s Halo Ball.
Now in its ninth year, the Halo Ball raises vital funds for HopeStreet’s essential support services for women and children escaping domestic and family violence.
Through the generosity of our sponsors, supporters, and guests, we have raised over $2.25 million, and these vital funds have gone directly to our frontline services supporting women and families.
In 2026, with your generosity, we aim to raise $500,000 so women aged 55+ don’t have to choose between violence and homelessness. Stand with us - safety without sacrifice.
