At BaptistCare, our tailor-made Home Care services can support you to stay living at home - on your terms. Because we know itʼs not just about being surrounded by treasured memories or having things just the way you like them, itʼs about staying connected to your community and the people who love that youʼre a part of it.
Funding your care Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP)
CHSP is a government-funded program designed to help you stay living independently at home. If you’re eligible, you may be asked to make a co-contribution, depending on your circumstances.

Privately Funded Services
If you’re waiting for government funding, or simply want a little extra support, we’re here for you. Our experienced, caring team can tailor services to suit your needs, when you need them.
If you have private health insurance, you may also be able to claim a rebate on some services. It’s worth checking with your provider to see what’s included.
Price Guide for Services
Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP)
Prices are effective as at 1st July 2025. Services cancelled with less than 24 hours notice will be charged.
Personal Care (per hour)
transport costs may apply. Excludes meals and admission costs during outings.
Who is the Commonwealth Home Support Programme suited to?
If you are looking for entry level support at home, the CHSP might be where you start your Home Care journey. This governmentsubsidised service helps you live well and independently at home, supporting with everyday tasks such as cleaning, gardening, grocery shopping, and getting out to group activities in the community.
If you’re finding you need a little more ongoing support, Support at Home (SaH) may be a better fit for you. We can help you understand what’s right for your situation and walk alongside you as your needs change.
CHSP could be right for you if:
You only need a small amount of support to keep living independently at home
You’re currently on a lower-classification of Support at Home and are waiting for a higher classification to be approved, with approved access to some additional CHSP services
You’re on the waiting list for Support at Home and have been approved to receive CHSP support in the meantime
