C OAC H H A R B S S AY S ON THE CHALLENEGE OF BRINGING YOUR BEST EACH WEEK: “Every game in the National Football League is a massive challenge. All teams bring everything they’ve got, and they’re all very talented teams. You have to be your best – and it’s not just being your best in terms of being fired up, or being emotionally ready or being tough. You have to be at your best, execution-wise. You have to be on point; you have to be sharp in order to win the game. You have to play winning football. That’s a challenge every single week. I think our guys understand the magnitude of the challenge every week.”

Rookie DT Travis Jones (knee) was injured during the 8/21 preseason game and will miss time early this season.

✗ Ravaged by injuries throughout 2021 – including season-ending
NFL.COM’S JIM TROTTER ON THE RAVENS: “Baltimore is always must-see TV. Not only because it has one of the game’s more electrifying players in quarterback Lamar Jackson, whose ability to do something magical means never taking a bathroom break when the Ravens are on offense, but also because the defense plays the game as it should be played – physically, aggressively, collectively.”
injuries prior to Week 1 for standouts RB J.K. Dobbins, RB Gus Edwards and CB Marcus Peters – Baltimore finished with 19 players on Injured Reserve, with starters missing a combined 114 games (including five by Pro Bowl QB Lamar Jackson). Yet, the Ravens battled through consistent adversity and remained in playoff contention entering a Week 18 game vs. Pittsburgh. Baltimore also played an NFL-high nine games that were decided by 3 or fewer points in 2021, including that final 16-13 OT defeat against the Steelers.
✗ Baltimore leads the all-time series vs. the Jets, 9-2, owning a 4-1 mark in such contests during the Harbaugh Era. The Ravens are 3-2 in games at NYJ (1-1 under Coach Harbaugh). Baltimore opened its 2010 season at the Jets once before, winning 10-9 in a Monday Night Football defensive battle from MetLife Stadium (NYJ’s first-ever regular season game at the venue).
