C INCINNATI B ENGALS VS . B ALTIMORE R AVENS (2-2)
WEEK 5 – SUNDAY, OCT. 9, 2022 8:20 P.M. ET – M&T BANK STADIUM (70,745)
C OAC H H A R B S S AY S COACH HARBAUGH ON THE RAVENS' WEEK 5 MINDSET: “The NFL – you fight, you compete, it’s an emotional deal, and that’s what makes it so compelling. That’s why we love it and being a part of it and competing. The highs are high, and the lows are low, because it’s such a big challenge to be able to win a game in this league. We’re four games in – basically, the first quarter is over. We’re 2-2, tied for the division lead, and that’s where we stand. So, you take a step back, you look at that, and you understand where you’re at, and we start getting ready for the most important game of the season so far, which will be Sunday Night Football against the Bengals."
(2-2)
QUICK HITS ✗ It's an AFC North primetime showdown (8:20 p.m. kickoff) when the Baltimore Ravens (2-2) host the Cincinnati Bengals (2-2) on Sunday Night Football from M&T Bank Stadium. Cincinnati, which has won two straight, is tied with Baltimore and Cleveland (also 2-2) atop the division standings, with Pittsburgh sitting at 1-3.

✗ The Ravens fell in heartbreaking fashion, 23-20, to Buffalo last
All-Pro LT Ronnie Stanley (ankle) has missed the season's first four games, while his backup (T Ja'Wuan James) is on IR with an Achilles injury. OLB Justin Houston (groin) and third-string LT Patrick Mekari (ankle) did not play last week vs. Buffalo. Starting NT Michael Pierce (biceps) was placed on IR on Sept. 29. Standouts OLB Tyus Bowser (Achilles) and RB Gus Edwards (knee) are on the Reserve/PUP list.
Sunday after the Bills scored 20 unanswered points, including a 21yard game-winning FG as time expired. Baltimore jumped out to a 20-3 lead late in the second quarter but couldn't withstand a steady second-half Bills' comeback in a game that featured driving rain and windy conditions. Buffalo totaled 326 yards of offense, marching 77 yards on its decisive drive after the Ravens were unable to score a TD on fourth-and-goal from the Bills' 2-yard line with 4:15 remaining in a 20-20 battle. QB Lamar Jackson accounted for 217 yards (144 passing & 73 rushing), throwing 1 TD to RB J.K. Dobbins, who also rushed for a 4-yard score. On defense, the Ravens tallied 2 takeaways (CB Marlon Humphrey INT & S Marcus Williams FR forced by OLB Odafe Oweh) and held Bills QB Josh Allen to a season-low 68.4 passer rating.
NOTE THE QUOTE G KEVIN ZEITLER ON BALTIMORE'S 2-2 RECORD & WEEK 4 DEFEAT: "The way I think our team is looking at it right now is it’s still early. It hurts, it burns, everyone is angry; that’s good. We need to use that and get that to improve, but we’ve got to move forward. We have another tough test [Sunday vs. Cincinnati], and we have to get it going.”
✗ The Ravens lead the all-time series vs. Cincinnati, 27-25, including a 17-9 mark in Charm City. Under head coach John Harbaugh, the series is tied, 14-14, with the Ravens going 9-5 at M&T Bank Stadium. After sweeping the Bengals in 2019 and 2020, Cincinnati emerged victorious in both 2021 battles.
