Excursion Guide

TORRES DEL PAINE - CHILE

Discover Torres del Paine

Location

Set within a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve, Torres del Paine National Park covers a vast sweep of southern Patagonia - granite peaks, mirror-still lagoons, ancient lenga forests, and glaciers that predate memory. Trails move through all of it, revealing the landscape slowly and on its own terms.

Wildlife is woven through every outing. Guanacos graze the open steppe, condors track the thermals overhead, rheas pick their way across the grasslands, and pumas - occasionally, if conditions allow - leave their mark on a morning.

The Seasons in Magallanes and Torres del Paine

Patagonia's weather is part of its character. Sun, wind, rain, and occasional snow can move through the same afternoon, and temperatures shift accordingly. Guests should come prepared for all conditions - layers are your best companion in the field. Tierra Patagonia opens each year in mid-September and welcomes guests through April. The lodge closes for the winter months from May through mid-September. Season
