At Silky Oaks Lodge, luxury treehouse-style suites welcome in the sights and sounds of the Daintree Rainforest. Contemporary interiors flow seamlessly to generous verandahs featuring the essential tropical accessory: an inviting hammock ready to sway in the afternoon breeze.

Set amongst the natural theatre of the Daintree Rainforest, Silky Oaks Lodge offers 39 luxury treehouse-style suites plus the exclusive two-bedroom Daintree Pavilion, boasting multiple living spaces and an infinity pool. In total, the lodge offers accommodation for up to 82 guests.

1 Treehouse Restaurant  82

Opening out onto the treetops, the tiered Treehouse Restaurant sets the scene for relaxed fine dining. A generous banquette and comfortable dining spaces offer optimum views to the theatre of river and rainforest playing out beyond. The Treehouse Restaurant offers contemporary Australian style cuisine for a variety of group events over lunch and dinner.

2 Jungle Perch

Extending out into the rainforest treetops, the open-air Jungle Perch delivers a bird’s eye view of the Mossman River, making it the best place to enjoy a drink and snack while watching the waters flow by.

3 Marrdja Pavilion

Versatile and spacious, the Marrdja Pavilion is a generous open-air space surrounded by rainforest with the Mossman River flowing below. The space lends a feeling of tranquility, perfect for early morning yoga, corporate workshops, conferences and private dining.

4 Kubirri Lounge

Leading from the lounge and bar, the Kubirri Lounge offers a flexible, air-conditioned and intimate space for up to 12 guests, perfect for a private special celebratory dinner, or a comfortable setting for an executive meeting or gathering for small groups during the day.

5 Kitchen Garden

A thriving kitchen garden of more than 100 plant types provides both singing-fresh ingredients for the table as well as a relaxed, outdoor setting for guests to enjoy lunch or early dinner drinks and snacks.

Perfect for a open-air special occasion lunch, dinner or event, the riverside location is just steps away from the Mossman River, directly under the rainforest canopy.

Group policy

Getting here

Silky Oaks Lodge is located 20 minutes' drive from Port Douglas, 45 minutes' drive from Palm Cove and 75 minutes' drive from Cairns.

The lodge is easily accessed from Cairns Airport, an international gateway with daily flights.

Self-drive is a popular option, with the journey by road meandering through Queensland’s trademark cane fields and along the coast overlooking the sparkling Coral Sea.
