Box House

Housing

Academic (Individual) | 2021 Selangor, Malaysia

This retreat house is designed for an entrepreneur who enjoys social interaction even while in a private getaway The spatial concept separates public and private functions vertically The ground floor accommodates public and semi-public areas, allowing the owner to receive guests and host small gatherings While, the first floor is dedicated entirely to her ‘penthouse’, providing a personal space

A defining architectural element is a continuous linear wall that runs through the building Inspired by the architectural principles of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, this wall acts as both a spatial divider and a primary structural element, organizing the program while expressing clarity, simplicity, and structural honesty within the design

Bingkai Nature Revival RnR 02

Institutional

Academic (Individual) | 2022

Pulau Pinang, Malaysia

Bingkai, a Malay word for "frame”, which was how the initial idea for the project came It was a very tiring hike to arrive at the site Yet it was worth it, as the view was very energizing Hence the name Bingkai, to frame the view and the memories made

Bingkai is a nature revival RnR located at Pantai Kerachut, Pulau Pinang The project required a design that caters not only for humans but also for sea turtles, as the beach is a nesting site for many sea turtle species Many considerations were taken to accommodate both humans and turtles in order to help us coexist together

Ablution Musolla Maarif

Public Ammenities

Personal Project | 2024

Selangor, Malaysia

This personal community project involved redesigning the ablution (wudhu’) area for Musolla Maarif. The existing male and female facilities were located within a small shared shed, resulting in limited privacy, particularly for female users

The proposal reorganised the compact layout to improve privacy, circulation, and usability within the constrained footprint while maintaining a simple and practical design suited to the community setting My role included design development and overseeing the construction process, ensuring the completed space responded sensitively to both spatial requirements and the needs of the local community

During the design phase, a study of human posture during ablution was conducted to ensure user comfort and ergonomic effic ency Considerat on was also given to material selection, prioritising durable and easy-to-clean finishes due to the constantly wet environment of ablution areas The materials were carefully chosen to withstand frequent water exposure and suit Malaysia’s humid tropical climate while maintaining hygiene and longterm funct onality

HUKM Technopolis

Institutional Work Experience | 2025 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

This project aims to develop the UKM Health Technopolis, which will encompass 3 blocks of a New Student Residences, a New Faculty of Medicine and Health, and an Integrated Research Centre. Achieving these objectives will enhance the quality of education, healthcare services, and research at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM)

During this project, I assisted the senior architect in the design development of the student residential building and faculty building. I was also responsible for producing the design report and detailed renderings, particularly close-up visualisations of interior and architectural spaces Through this project, I gained valuable experience in high-rise building design, spatial planning and architectural visualisation, which strengthened my understanding of large-scale educational facilities and detailed design presentation

Construction Details

Work Experience | 2025 Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Visualisation

Involved in the preparation of construction details for a tendering-stage project, focusing on railing and façade systems. The scope included developing detailed drawings that addressed material connections, structural interfaces, fixing methods, and waterproofing considerations to ensure buildability and compliance with project specifications

This experience demonstrates technical understanding of construction detailing, coordination between architectural intent and practical execution, and the ability to translate design concepts into precise working drawings suitable for tender documentation
