Meet the New Assistant Library Director Victor!
Hi, my name is Victor Gonzalez and I joined the Azle Memorial Library as the Assistant Library Director at the end of August. In my short time here I have already had a chance to meet many people in the community, and I look forward to meeting more of you and being a part of Azle.
I hold a Bachelors Degree in International Business, and a Master's Degree in Library Science from Texas Woman's University. Prior to working in Azle I spent nearly 8 years with the Fort Worth Public Library system. I started there as a page and worked my way up the ladder. During my time
at FWPL I performed a wide range of library functions such as managing, programming, outreach, and conflict resolution. One of my favorite experiences was leading storytime and getting to know the teens who would attend programs. I am fluent in English and Spanish and I look forward to using my language skills in our upcoming Bilingual Storytime on October 13th!
In my personal time I love to spend time with my dog and three cats. Someday I hope to also learn German and Japanese. My favorite children's author is Mo Willems. Thank you for welcoming me to the Azle Community!
