I grandi eventi non sono stati per noi un punto di arrivo, ma uno strumento di crescita. Grazie all’esperienza maturata nell’organizzazione delle più prestigiose competizioni mondiali, abbiamo costruito nel tempo un’identità forte e riconoscibile, capace di attrarre atleti, appassionati e famiglie da ogni parte del mondo.

Attorno a questa vocazione è nata e si è sviluppata una delle offerte bike più complete d’Europa: due bike park, una rete di percorsi per ogni livello e, in tempi più recenti, il progetto Alpine Gravel.

I Campionati del Mondo rappresentano quindi molto più di un evento sportivo: sono la sintesi di una storia condivisa e la conferma della capacità della Val di Sole di accogliere e guardare al futuro. A tutti gli atleti, ai team, ai volontari, ai rappresentanti dei media e agli ospiti rivolgo il più caloroso benvenuto nella prima UCI Bike Region d’Italia.

For Val di Sole, hosting the 2026 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships for the fourth time in less than twenty years is both a source of great pride and a significant responsibility. This achievement is the result of a journey characterized by vision, investment, expertise and passion, and has established our valley as one of the world’s premier destinations for mountain biking and off-road cycling.

For us, major sporting events have never been the ultimate goal, but rather a catalyst for growth. The experience we have gained from organizing some of the most prestigious international events has enabled us to develop a strong and distinctive identity that attracts athletes, enthusiasts, and families from around the world.

Building on this, we have developed one of Europe’s most complete bike destinations: two bike parks, an extensive network of trails for riders of all skill levels, and, more recently, the Alpine Gravel project.

The UCI Mountain Bike World Championships are much more than just a sporting event, but the culmination of a shared journey, demonstrating Val di Sole’s ability to welcome visitors while looking confidently to the future. I extend my warmest welcome to Italy’s first UCI Bike Region to all athletes, teams, volunteers, media representatives and guests.

tato un appuntamento delle WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series 2025. Nel corso degli anni, sul tecnico circuito del Cross-country e sulla rinomata pista da downhill “Black Snake” si sono consumate battaglie entusiasmanti.

Ma non sono solo i migliori atleti del mondo a beneficiare delle fantastiche strutture della Val di Sole: la regione vanta infatti il riconoscimento “UCI Bike Region”, come testimonianza del suo impegno sia per il ciclismo di tutti i giorni che per le competizioni Elite. In questa magnifica valle alpina regna sovrano il vero spirito del ciclismo come sport per tutti.

Desidero esprimere il mio sincero ringraziamento alla Val di Sole e a tutti coloro che sono coinvolti nell’organizzazione dell’evento di questa settimana. Auguro a tutti dei fantastici Campionati del Mondo UCI Mountain Bike 2026.

Welcome to the 2026 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in Val di Sole!

This beautiful Trentino region hosts the UCI’s leading annual mountain bike event for the fourth time, and intense competition across five of the discipline’s different formats is guaranteed.

Val di Sole is also a longstanding host of the UCI World Cup for mountain bike, most recently welcoming a stopover of the 2025 WHOOP UCI Mountain Bike World Series. Over the years, many exciting battles have played out on the technical cross-country circuit and the renowned ‘Black Snake’ downhill track.

But it is not only the world’s best who benefit from the fantastic facilities in Val di Sole: the region holds the UCI Bike Region label in recognition of its commitment to everyday cycling as well as Elite competition. The true spirit of cycling as a sport for everybody reigns supreme in this magnificent alpine valley.

My sincere thanks go to Val di Sole, and everyone involved in the organisation of this week’s event.

I wish everyone a fantastic 2026 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships.

Per quanto il nome della valle si dice derivi dal ‘sol’ e prima ancora da Sulis, antica divinità celtica legata all’acqua, se oggi pensi alla Val di Sole ti ritrovi in mountain bike. Il legame tra questa zona del Trentino e questa disciplina sportiva è da tempo molto stretto e ormai indissolubile. Il campo gara di Daolasa di Commezzadura, cuore della Val di Sole Bike Land, fa parte ormai della rosa di circuiti internazionali tra i più ambiti ed accreditati all’UCI, proponendo percorsi non solo spettacolari e apprezzati dagli atleti, ma anche articolati, variegati e rispondenti alle esigenze per le cinque discipline che vedranno impegnati 600 atleti provenienti da 50 nazioni. Sostenere eventi come questo significa anche promuovere la ciclomobilità. È quello che questo Governo sta facendo con il progetto “Bici in Comune” in collaborazione con Sport e Salute e ANCI che ha diversi obiettivi, tra i quali la mobilità sostenibile, il turismo lento e la pratica sportiva. L’auspicio è che le città si predispongano alla ciclabilità attrezzata seguendo gli indirizzi del MIT, elaborando le reti ciclabili con equilibrio rispetto alla complessità del traffico automobilistico, prevedendo le condizioni minime per la sicurezza dei ciclisti e dei cicloamatori.

Un plauso a Luciano Rizzi, Presidente di Grandi Eventi Val di Sole e all’APT Val di Sole, ai collaboratori e ai 400 volontari, insostituibili e vero motore di ogni manifestazione, per la professionalità che ancora una volta farà di un evento mondiale un’occasione di socialità, promozione della pratica sportiva e del territorio, vera e propria palestra a cielo aperto, che grazie all’accoglienza e alle tradizioni solandre lascerà sicuramente una eredità positiva agli appassionati che raggiungeranno una Valle che ha fatto dello sport uno degli elementi identitari.

2026 UCI MOUNTAIN BIKE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS

From 26 to 30 August, the race venue in Daolasa di Commezzadura, Trentino, will host the UCI Mountain Bike World Championships for the fourth time. It is one of the most prestigious and highly regarded international venues accredited by the UCI. Its courses have been designed to accommodate the five disciplines in which 600 athletes from 50 countries will compete.

This achievement has been made possible by the strong organizational and logistical capabilities that have been developed, refined and consolidated over the past twenty years. The organizers are committed to sustainability and sustainable mobility, including enhancing the Trento–Malè–Mezzana railway line.

Supporting events such as this one also promotes cycling as an everyday form of mobility. This is precisely the goal of the ‘Bici in Comune’ project, which is promoted by the Italian government in collaboration with Sport e Salute and ANCI (National Association of Italian Municipalities). The project aims to encourage sustainable mobility, slow tourism, and participation in sport, in line with the guidelines established by the Italian Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport (MIT). It is hoped that cities across Italy will equip themselves with safe, well-designed and accessible cycling networks. In this regard, Trentino and Val di Sole, with their exceptional cycle path alongside the Noce River, are a prime example. I would like to express my appreciation to Luciano Rizzi, President of Grandi Eventi Val di Sole, the Val di Sole Tourism Board, and all the staff and 400 volunteers, who have once again transformed a global sporting event into an opportunity for social connection, the promotion of sport, and the enhancement of the local area, thanks to their dedication and professionalism.

Thanks to its warm hospitality, Val di Sole will make a positive and lasting impression on mountain bike enthusiasts, further confirming sport’s status as one of the defining elements of this territory’s identity.

La Val di Sole è da tempo la casa della mountain bike: una scelta nata da una visione lungimirante, quando investire sugli eventi internazionali era ancora un’intuizione coraggiosa, e oggi diventata modello per i territori che credono nel ciclismo. I Mondiali di Mountain Bike UCI in Val di Sole, con quelli Marathon nel Primiero, aprono il conto alla rovescia verso il 2031 e l’appuntamento clou dei Supermondiali. Un percorso che onora storia, sport e comunità locali.

I Campionati del Mondo di Mountain Bike tornano in Trentino, e la sede non poteva essere che la Val di Sole, ormai tappa fissa nel circuito internazionale di questo sport. Con le Olimpiadi e le Paralimpiadi il Trentino ha confermato la propria capacità, passione e professionalità nell’ospitare ogni tipo di grande evento sportivo. La notevole esperienza e competenza degli organizzatori, infine, garantiscono spettacolo e divertimento per tutti.

The 2026 UCI Mountain Bike World Championships in Val di Sole, alongside the Marathon Worlds in Primiero, begin the countdown to 2031 and the pinnacle of the Super World Championships. A journey that honours history, sport and local communities.

The Mountain Bike World Championships are returning to Trentino, and there could be no more fitting venue than Val di Sole, which has become a regular stop on the international mountain biking circuit.
