The “Palazzo alla Torraccia” is an ancient noble residence located in the center of the town of Terzolas. Within the residence there is a “Sala Nobile” (noble room), definitely the most interesting room due to its elaborate furnishings. The Library’s collection has an inestimable historical and cultural importance.

Marinelli Smithy

The Marinelli smithy is one of the few remaining hydraulic forges in the entire Alps that is still in working conditions. The techniques that are used in the smithy, in addition to its cultural heritage and importance, date back thousands of years. The secrets of this trade can still be found within the smithy: anvils, mallets, double forges, grindstones. The location and access to the smithy is through a narrow stone stairway and access for disabled persons is not possible within the smithy.

The ecomuseum protects and promotes the historical and cultural practices preserved in the Meledrio Valley. The themed route starts near the ancient sawmill. On the route you will come across the ancient hydraulic hammer and at the end the ancient lime kiln and the “Doss di Santa Brigida” where an ancient hospice was once located.

Venetian sawmill

San Michele Castle

It is located on a rocky outcrop and it dates back to the Lombard period, even though the first written material regarding the castle is dated 1191. Ethnographic Museum of Wood - the former sawmill in Celledizzo
Located within a nineteenth century mill. On the top floor, there is an old log carriage with a saw that is powered by an electric flywheel, an example of the gradual introduction of electricity in Val di Peio.

Molìn dei Turi, from the surname of the family that has owned it for generations, represents the earliest example of a water mill. With the advent of electricity, it was converted into an industrial mill and was in operation until the 1970s. Recently renovated, it can now be visited. Cortina Mill

This was a working mill right up until the middle of the 1950’s, powered by the Rio Cortina stream. The mill was open from the end of summer until late fall and it was used to grind rye, barley and wheat, the only types of cereals that were grown in the fields of Vermiglio.

Arrival station of the Paradiso gondola lift 2573 mt.
The Galleria Paradiso (tunnel) was a shelter for soldiers to protect them from the freezing cold and any artillery attacks. It now hosts a multimedia exhibit called “Sounds and Voices of the White War” with a display of war relics plus information on the conditions of life for soldiers on the glaciers. A sound system will allow visitors to experience the sounds and voices of the war. Free admission.

World War I Memorial - The Ossuary war memorial

A commemorative memorial inaugurated in 1924. At first it was a fenced sacred area that was then enlarged in 1933 and turned into an ossuary where the remains of 847 soldiers. The monument has two staircases that lead to the terrace where a bronze copy of the Brescia’s Winged Victory, facing the Trentino side of the area, is located.

For over two centuries, the Rabbiés stream has powered the Ruatti Watermill, transforming grain produced by local farmers into flour which was then used to make bread. Enter into the life of a miller during the 19th century and experience the history of this mill.

Coredo Castle and Palazzo Nero

Coredo Castle is an austere-looking noble home which dates back to 1726. The interior retains valuable furnishings, hunting trophies and a small collection of portraits. The guided tour includes a visit to the nearby Palazzo Nero. The name of the building (Black Palace) probably derives from an arson attack which burned it down in 1477.

The Bell of the Fallen

The bell was born in the post-war period from the idea of Don Antonio Rossaro to melt the bronze of the cannons of the nations participating in the First World War to create a symbol of peace. Over the years, it undergoes two more castings and finds its current location in 1965.

Cheese Val di Sole
In the cuisine of Val di Sole, cheese plays an absolutely central role. A tasty product of mountain milk, it can be purchased from numerous local producers and at the two dairies in the valley: Cercen in Terzolas and Presanella in Mezzana, where it is also directly processed.
Alongside the flavorful Trentingrana, the variously aged local cheeses, and the fresh ricotta, the Casolét stands out – a true symbol of the Val di Sole tradition.
In the past, this cheese was produced exclusively in autumn, when the cows returned from the alpine pastures and stayed for a while in the farmsteads before going back to the village. Each family would process its own milk – usually not in large quantities – and produce only small rounds of cheese. The name "Casolét" actually comes from the Latin “caseolus”, meaning "small cheese."
Today, with its soft texture and sweet, delicate flavor, Casolét is a real gem of Trentino’s cheesemaking tradition, loved by both young and old!

The Peio Wildlife area is a tiny green paradise along the road going from Peio Fonti to Peio Paese. The area is filled with deer and roe-deer confidently coming out from the woods to catch a peak of the visitors. Visitors can observe up close the relationships between these wild animals, thus getting in close contact with local wildlife and becoming truly part of an enchanting territory rich in natural resources. A “Deer house” has also been created to provide visitors with additional information and a modern info point.

This is a sound park created in Pozzatine, in Val di Rabbi. It is a trail to immerse you in the forest, consisting of seven sound and experience stations. The area is located at 1650 metres and can be reached on foot from the car park at Cavallar. The specific feature in the trail is sound, which amplifies the beauty of nature and the woods. The delicate “artificial” sounds mix with the “natural” sounds produced by the vegetation. This is what gives the trail its name: “Fruscìo”.

Created to protect the Noce river and its naturalistic and ecological importance, it is part of the “Rete Natura 2000”, a network of nature protection areas that have been chosen and approved by the European Union. “C. Costanzi” Wall: a 5 minute walk to the area called Regazzini, this wall has 40 routes of various levels of difficulty, ranging from 5a to 7c grades (most routes are between 6a and 7a grades). The routes are spiked and perfectly maintained.

“Doss of Saint Brigida” Wall: a 20 minute walk from the Belvedere area, in Folgarida. The wall has 12 routes, difficulty range from 4a and 6c (most routes are not very difficult). All routes are spiked and perfectly maintained.

Climbing wall “Sass Pisador”: 30 min from the parking place of Valpiana. There are 8 tracks, difficulty-level between 4 and 6a.

“Centrale” Wall: 5 routes, 3 of which have two pitches, maximum height 37 m, difficulty level between 5a and 6b.
“Stavel” Wall: located in the area called Stavel in Vermiglio. 7 routes with a length that varies from 6 to 13 m and a difficulty level ranging from 3a to 6a. Friction climbing suited for children and beginners.
“Croz dei Pozzi": Rifugio Denza: 20 routes, difficulty ranging from 5c to 7b. Suitable for children and beginners.

“Monticelli” Wall: 40 routes, maximum height 120 m - difficulty level between 4b and 8a.
“Paradiso” Wall: this climbing wall is located right at the arrival station of the Paradiso cable-car, coming from Passo Tonale. There are 10 routes of various levels of difficulty, ranging from 4a and 6b grades; maximum height 33 m.

Ponte Vecchio “Ai Crozi di Cisa” Wall from 20.08: it’s located in Val De la Mare at about 9 km from Cogolo village. Drive to the junction of Ponte Vecchio Alm and then walk about 15 min. At the present time the trails for climbing are about ten, from the 4a to the 6c level difficulty (some itineraries show a length till 4 rope pulls). Furthermore, 3 short itineraries of 15 minutes with a difficulty corresponding to a 6b - 6c.
“Pradacci” Climbing Wall: located in Val del Monte approximately 2 km from Peio Fonti, you can reach the Pradacci equipped area by car. This climbing wall should be used only with suitable equipment and by experts in rope access techniques and manoeuvres. Equipped for stops and for minimum 25 m doubles. Currently there are approximately 20 climbing routes with a difficulty level between 4a to 6b.

The Family Park Daolasa will be open from June 28 to September 14, 2025, offering fun and excitement for the little ones. Situated at 2,000 meters above sea level near Lake Val Mastellina, the park is built using natural materials like wood and features a variety of play structures, including climbing castles, a slide, swings, wooden playhouses, and much more.
The “Villaggio delle Marmotte” is located at the Valbiolo chairlift arrival station. There are five different play areas: a playground, slides, quaint wooden houses and a fun watermill. The park can be easily reached in just a few minutes by taking the Valbiolo chairlift or after a one-and-a-half hour walk.

There isn’t a proper taxi service in Val di Sole charging taximeter fares, but it is possible to hire a car with a driver.
