SUPERNATURAL SIGHTINGS CONTINUE: INVESTIGATION UNDERWAY GUEST REPORTER: Mavvi Solarvale
Two sides of traditional factional conflict are finding uneasy similarities in the Hillsbrad Foothills and Arathi Highlands areas. As reported in the last issue, ghost sightings have been the talk of the region. Further investigation reveals that residents on both sides of the immense solemnity of Thoradin’s Wall claim to have seen and spoken with ghostly apparitions. Concerns grow as the peaceful, if startling, sightings shift to fighting amongst the specters. Thoradin’s Wall was built centuries before the Third War by renown King Thoradin to keep out the Amani Trolls. The wall remains a grand reminder of the shield it provided the citizens at that time, and though parts of it are now rubble an armed dwarven mountain fort, Dun Garok, remains keeping watch. These soldiers were the first to notice ghost sightings along the coast by Southshore. Darithy Tanstout, a mountaineer stationed there, reports an encounter where she interacted with an apparition while on her usual patrol, “I saw

I was mighty relieved when the ghost turned and kept going towards Southshore.” This deepening mystery led to formal investigation by the clergy. Originally investigating the sightings around Stromgarde Keep, Bright Abbess Sandra arrived with permission from the church of the
Holy Light. The frequency of sightings around Stromgarde had decreased drastically by the time the Bright Abbess arrived, but her trip was not in vain. New reports turned the Bright Abbess’ attention towards Terran Mill. She explains, “Some of the previous speculations about dead pirates or soldiers have been disproven. My short time investigating these apparitions have revealed them to be locals of Arathi and Hilsbrad, most from the time when fleeing the Scourge. These older ones fight the more recently deceased, who reject the notion of Calia Menethil as the rightful queen.” The Bright Abbess plans to seek freedom of movement within Forsaken territory to investigate further. She wondered aloud, “Is this a grand hoax? Have the spirits been awakened by the FISKE PUBLISHING
