A HOLE IN ONE

The expanded Evie’s Pavillion serves as PTK Launch Party location By KYLE BACKER When it came time to select a site for the PTK Launch Party, Papago Golf Club’s recently renovated event hall had an undeniable advantage — an incredible vantage point of the nearby Papago Buttes and lush greens of the iconic course. Named after Evelyn Grubb — philanthropist and wife of Phoenix automotive business icon Lou Grubb — Evie’s Pavillion now offers 4,400 square feet of event space, representing more than a 50% increase in size. The 1,500-square-foot expansion can be subdivided into smaller rooms, allowing the venue to accommodate groups ranging from 25 to 250 people. To handle the additional visitors, over 100 parking spaces were added to the property. The pavillion’s indoor/outdoor configuration provides easy access to the surrounding natural beauty, making it ideal for weddings, fundraisers and large gatherings — even magazine cover shoots.
