AUTUMN 2018
AGM 2018 We celebrated our fifteenth birthday at the AGM. Our first Chair Margaret Scott joined current Chair Rhonda Leith in cutting a very special cake. Ayrshire Housing was formed in 2003 through the merger of Carrick Housing Association and South Ayrshire Homes. We’ve grown to have 1,500 houses across Ayrshire and have funds to build new houses and continue providing services for you. A big change during the year was the end of South Ayrshire Council’s participation in the Board. It has decided to withdraw from membership of many local organisations, not just ours. Councillor and former Board member, Ian Cavana, said “Ayrshire Housing is one of the best run organisations that I have had the pleasure to be involved in, and there have been many! I know that it continues to be a key partner for the Council in meeting local housing needs”. Three new members were welcomed to the Board which is made up of six tenants and six community volunteers.
