Specialist Healthcare Installations

+ Access Adaptations: DA-compliant bathrooms and kitchens with access upgrades (grab rails, ramps, door widening) for patients with mobility difficulties.

+ M&E installations: fire safety systems, security doors with access control, and thermostatic mixer valves (TMVs) that blend hot and cold water to prevent scalding vulnerable occupants.

+ Safety features: non-slip vinyl sheet flooring, rubber skirting boards, PVCu wall cladding, and anti-ligature devices that prevent self-harm or suicide attempts in mental health and psychiatric wards.

Passive Fire Works Programme

HOSPITALS OF LIVERPOOL GROUP

Our Passive Fire Works programme at both Aintree and Broadgreen hospitals includes fire door replacement and remedials as well as penetration sealing.

We carefully sequenced our work, and worked out of hours, to ensure safety for patients, staff and visitors and minimise disruption. Communication is key in a live hospital environment so our teams liaised closely with the Trust and the estates teams, staff representatives and the managers, ensuring our works did not impact on the services delivery of the of the hospital.

UNIVERSITY

Fire Door Upgrades & Replacements

MIDLANDS PARTNERSHIP NHS FOUNDATION TRUST

Work was completed during normal working hours to reduce costs to the NHS Trust whilst minimising disruption to services.

Through rigorous planning and adherence to high standards, we executed the work efficiently while maintaining the building’s fire safety and meeting stringent requirements. Additional safeguarding measures were implemented while operating within this inpatient Mental Health Services and Old Age Psychiatry facility.

Contract Value: £418,000

Project Size: 400+ Fire Doors

+ Enhanced fire safety across mental health and elderly care facilities.

Multi-site M&E Upgrades & Refurbishment

HARROGATE AND DISTRICT NHS FOUNDATION TRUST

The works spanned Grove Park, The Lascelles Centre, Cedar Ward, and The Arch, encompassing electrical and mechanical upgrades, passive fire safety improvements, full internal and external refurbishments, DDA-compliant facilities, and general conversion works. CLC provided the Trust with a streamlined, coordinated approach, minimising disruption to live environments and ensuring fully compliant, modernised facilities across each site.

CLC completed a full ground floor rewire and partial first floor rewire, installed 121 new LED light fittings with associated M&E works, and delivered passive fire safety upgrades including 42 new fire door sets and compartmentation. The team also carried out DDA bathroom conversions, refurbished staff toilet facilities, and completed internal and external improvements, providing a safe, modern and compliant facility.
