What were you doing immediately before joining us? For the last three years I was Managing Director of a Tier 1 regional provider of property services with a specialist roofing arm. Previous experience? Before my last role I was COO for a national property services and critical infrastructure provider which was formed following the merger of United Living and Fastflow Group. I had stepped into this role after a number of years as Managing Director of the Refurbishment Division of United Living. Plans for the merged business in outline? Obviously very early days for me in terms of plans however, the continued
success of the new Group, will be business critical supported by the integration actions currently underway. Any challenges you would like to share? We are all aware that our sector projects significant opportunity over the coming years as our public sector and housing provider clients continue to invest in their assets to provide quality, energy efficient homes. The industry we operate will see a demand on existing resources and it will be hugely important to ensure we have access to the best people as well as attracting and developing our own to support our future plans.
Immediate priorities – what does your day look like? My first 30 days have been spent getting to know the businesses and its people as well as visiting our colleagues at CLC around the UK. Over the coming weeks I will want to spend more time understating business systems and processes to better understand how we deliver from “cradle to grave” delivering the successful outcomes that Axis and CLC have historically achieved. This period of enterprise for me is of huge importance and allows me to integrate fully into the group. Goals for the business?
