In 2017 the Worshipful Company of Painter-Stainers contracted Axis to carry out an external repairs programme to the roof, railings, guttering and downpipes and clean the building façade.

In 2018 Axis were further contracted to conduct the internal decoration of the Banqueting Hall where the scope of works included: the lining and redecoration of walls and ceilings, windows and dados; the restoration of the oak panels and doors; the refurbishment of the silver display cabinet and the installation of LED lighting for the pictures, domes and downlighters. There is a substantial amount of gold leaf throughout the Banqueting Hall and this was completely re-gilded under our direction by a Master Gilder, who is also a member of the Painter-Stainers’ Company, to achieve the periodaccurate finish.
