Highlights
Specifications
Axis’ M&E Division installed a new cold water pressure booster system for our existing client, Tower Hamlets Community Housing (THCH).
• Drainage water storage tanks • Disconnection water storage tanks • Decommission existing cold water down service • Installation cold water pressure booster system (pumps and tank) • Installation cold water pipes to the pipework to the flats • Conversion six boilers to a sealed combi system
Our works improved the cold water pressure for residents (in Norton House, Bigland Street, east London) who had reported low pressure issues. Axis’ experts drained and disconnected the water storage tanks at roof level, decommissioned the existing cold water down service, then installed the new cold water pressure booster system (pumps and tank) and also new cold water pipes to the pipework to the flats. In addition, we converted six boilers to a sealed combi system that will adapt to the new system and ensure the building is suitable for mains-fed water. Norton House is a fully-occupied residential block of flats. We kept disruption to a minimum for residents. And our regular newsletters kept them informed of our progress and about when they would be without water whilst we conducted the works. Our new Cold Water Pressure Booster System provides an energy-efficient, high-performance and low-maintenance solution with better pressure and flow rate for residents and reduced costs for our client.
