At AeroVisto business jet refurbishment is our great passion. Thanks to numerous projects, we have great expertise in this area and already offer our customers many convincing solutions. However, in search of the best experience for our customers, we are always looking for new ways to set an example in our industry.

Therefore, we are pleased to offer our customers something completely new and unique: Professional design collections for business jet interiors. What motivated us to do this? When it comes to interior design in aviation, the highend cabins of big corporate and private VVIP Aircraft definitely set the standards in the industry. In such wide and narrow body aircraft, no effort and expense is spared to achieve the perfect result. With great effort and according to all rules of the art, professional designers ensure on the one hand that the interior optimally reflects the wishes and ideas of the owner, and on the other hand that the limits of what is possible are pushed again and again – by the intelligent and artistic use of the latest techniques and innovative materials. But have you ever wondered: Why do design solutions in this particular form, not also exist in the business jet aviation class? Well, at AeroVisto we have studied this issue in detail and found that there is no real reason. So, as part of the „Aviation Design Initiative“ we launched, we decided to create our own design collections, to bring this super professional approach to aviation interior design also into the class of business jets. By doing so, we want to provide aircraft owners a special and highly professional support for their next refurbishment projects. Since we want to handle a very complex topic, we are very happy about the powerful support of Warja S. Borges and her company Unique Aircraft.

Warja is a worldwide known and highly valued expert in the field of aviation interior design. In the past months, she has not only taken us into her very special interior design world, but has also already designed three exclusive collections for AeroVisto. These collections will be integral to future business jet refurbishment projects, where they will play an important role in the design consulting process.

GOMOLZIG Aircraft Services GmbH is now ACC COLUMBIA Jet Service GmbH At the beginning of December, a merger of the subsidiary GOMOLZIG Aircraft Services GmbH with the parent company ACC COLUMBIA Jet Service GmbH was completed to bundle all activities under the umbrella brand ACC COLUMBIA. Since 1995, ACC COLUMBIA has developed into a leading company in the industry of aircraft maintenance for private and business jets headquartered at Hanover Airport. Our company is organized in two departments – ACC COLUMBIA Jet Service and ACC COLUMBIA – Support. The large maintenance stations at Hanover Airport and Cologne Bonn Airport form the ACC COLUMBIA Jet Service department offering line and base maintenance services for a wide range of aircraft types including routine inspections, unscheduled or heavy maintenance, overhauls or spare part support. The stations Wegberg, Mitterskirchen and now the station Schwelm form the department ACC COLUMBIA – Support. They offer the repair of aircraft components, sheet metal works, overhaul of individual aircraft components, minor modifications, huge structural repairs and more. The new station at Schwelm operates under the direction of Station Manager Thomas Kruse, Station Manager Volker Busch remains responsible for the facilities in Wegberg and Mitterskirchen.

The former Design Organization of GOMOLZIG Aircraft Services GmbH became the new department ACC COLUMBIA – Design under direction of Alexander Geier. ACC COLUMBIA – Design develops new design solutions utilizing latest technologies, materials and methods for commercial and general aviation. This includes production and prototyping of parts and components of various complexity. Our approval enables us to carry out any project with full airworthiness and legal protection. For our customers everything remains as normal. We are proud to expand the current service portfolio again to exploit the synergy effects that are of great importance for the further development of our company in the aviation industry. CAMO - AIRCRAFT UTILIZATION

The practical guide how to get things done!

Each Aircraft Maintenance Manual has an Airplane Utilization section which defines a lower and an upper limit of hours flown per year. This can be for example on a Citation 560XL between 200 HRS and 1,300 HRS a year. As long as the aircraft is operated in that framework the regular inspection intervals are to be used. But what if the aircraft is not used for certain circumstances and falls below the lower limit?

When to use the Low Utilization Programme If you come to the point where the aircraft is not used for more than the lower limit on yearly hours then often you have to contact the Manufacturer/Type Certificate Holder and ask for a Low Utilization Maintenance Program (LUMP). Some Manufacturers do provide a LUMP as standard within the Aircraft Maintenance Manual or seperately.

If the low utilization is only temporarily for example if the aircraft was in storage due to a sales process and was therefore not flown more than the lower limit its always a good idea to contact your authority to discuss this matter as it will save you time and money when you have to move into the LUMP and out again in a short time period.

What changes in the LUMP So when your aircraft will be operated under the LUMP the major of the task intervals will change from hourly to monthly intervals due to the low hours the aircraft is flying. This can drive up the costs of the maintenance on a great level since you have to do certain inspections more often than when you operate on the regular maintenance program. Finally, when to move into the LUMP it depends on the actual hours flown in the past year, which to evaluate is part of your aircraft maintenance program effectivity analysis which should be done on a yearly basis, and on the planned flight hours forecasted for the coming year. When in doubt it is always good to discuss this with your authority and with the Manufacturer/TC Holder to make sure the aircraft will be maintained in the best practical way.
