MIPA – Make Iran Persia Again is a non-profit organization dedicated to educating the public about the true historical, cultural, and civilizational legacy of Iran—known for millennia as Persia—and to supporting peace in the Middle East and globally through the promotion of liberty in Iran.
“For thousands of years, Persia stood as one of the world’s great civilizations, contributing profoundly to human rights, religious tolerance, science, art, governance, and philosophy. MIPA exists to reconnect modern society with that legacy, while advocating for a future Iran rooted in freedom, dignity, and self-determination”
Born from something deeply personal: respect, admiration, and love for the Persian people and their extraordinary culture; MIPA is a project of passion and love!
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of knowing Persians whose kindness, sincerity, intelligence, and warmth left a lasting impression on me. From the extreme hospitality of my ex "Bita" to the conversations with "Mayor Jimmy D." to my experience running a Persian food social media group to my experiences attending Persian Festivals, I came to understand that Persia is not just a place in history—it is a living culture rooted in dignity, hospitality, wisdom, and humanity.
As I learned more about Iran’s true historical identity, I became convinced that education—not anger or division—is the most powerful path toward peace and liberty. When people understand where a civilization comes from, they begin to see where it can go.
MIPA exists to honor that truth. This organization is not driven by politics, but by a belief that history matters, culture matters, and people matter. By educating the world about Persia’s authentic legacy, we can help foster understanding, compassion, and hope for a freer future.
Thank you for believing in this mission and for helping us take the first steps forward.
With gratitude,
Founder, Jay Shapiro
MIPA – Make Iran Persia Again

Just ahead of Rosh Chodesh for the month of Shevat, a time in the Jewish calendar associated with renewal, inner strength, and the quiet nourishment of roots beneath the soil, Benjamin Netanyahu met at the Prime Minister’s Office in Jerusalem with the management and volunteers of ZAKA. Shevat is the season when growth begins invisibly when trees draw life from deep within the earth before their branches show signs of renewal In that same spirit, the Prime Minister recognized the men and women of ZAKA, whose work is often carried out away from the public eye, yet whose impact is immeasurable. He presented certificates of appreciation to the organization’s volunteers in recognition of their extraordinary service and devotion during Operation Rising Lion.
Prime Minister Netanyahu expressed his deep and heartfelt gratitude on behalf of himself, the Government of Israel, and the citizens of the nation He praised the volunteers for their moral courage, compassion, and unwavering commitment to human dignity, even under the most harrowing conditions He emphasized that their actions reflect the deepest values of Israeli society responsibility for one another, respect for life, and steadfast resolve in times of crisis.
ZAKA CEO Zvi Hasid, joined by dozens of volunteers, thanked the Prime Minister for his leadership throughout the war and for his continued recognition of the organization’s sacred mission They expressed appreciation for his support of the volunteers who serve selflessly, often at great personal cost, driven not by recognition but by conscience and duty.
As the month of Shevat reminds us, true strength is not always immediately visible. It lies in the roots that hold firm beneath the surface, sustaining life and enabling future growth. In honoring ZAKA’s volunteers during this season, the meeting stood as a powerful affirmation that the resilience of Israel is built not only on strategy and defense, but on compassion, unity, and the quiet heroism of those who serve humanity when it is needed most.
