2025 State of the County: How Forsyth County, Georgia is Shaping the Future Through Investment, Sponsorship, and Development Forsyth County, located in the vibrant heart of Georgia, is on a remarkable trajectory of growth and development. Known for its family-friendly atmosphere, extensive recreational options, outstanding schools, and active citizen participation, Forsyth County is becoming a prime destination for families & businesses. My hope is for more film projects and technological advancements and much more as progress continues. April 8th of 2025 we focused on "how much does it take to run Forsyth County," investment opportunities, new construction projects, overall community development, Court and Government facilities growth and development investments, sponsorship initiatives, and notable projects such as The Gathering. Additionally, we embraced the impacts of the dedicated members of the sheriff's department and highlighted the crucial roles played by county commissioners and the Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce in fostering this dynamic community. Special thanks to Senator Greg Dolezal and Senator Shawn Still for being here and all your efforts and support throughout. The Economic Landscape of Forsyth County Forsyth County has evolved into an essential economic hub in Georgia, marked by its impressive growth. Its prime location, just northeast of Atlanta, offers a unique mix of urban convenience and suburban serenity, attracting families and businesses eager to invest. For instance, over the past decade, Forsyth County has seen a 43% increase in population, while business investments have surged by 50%. New businesses benefit from partnerships, local grants and resources provided by the Forsyth County Chamber of Commerce and an all encompassed community. The chamber and various organizations are instrumental in connecting entrepreneurs with vital contacts, creating a collaborative environment where innovation thrives. Supporting Local Heroes: The Sheriff’s Department The dedicated professionals at the Forsyth County Sheriff's Department are more than law enforcement officers; they are community pillars. Under the leadership of the current sheriff, Ron Freeman the department emphasizes community engagement while ensuring safety and security. Programs such as the "Community Safety Initiatives" have been effective in enhancing trust between law enforcement and residents. These include neighborhood watch programs and annual safety events that have increased community participation by 30% over the last three years, reinforcing the importance of both prevention and protection.
