Turnoutfunction in the Member Portal
You can also turnout in the Member portal and upload any documents (Medical/Vet Certificates). This function can be found in EDIT ENTRIES section; find the entry you'd like to turnout of and select turnout. The office will be notified when a turnout is generated.
Turnout Procedures
Members can cancel out of a rodeo before Monday 12pm whilst entries are open and receive a full refund.
After Monday 12pm when entries close, competitors will need to turnout of a rodeo if they cannot make it.
NotifiedTurnout - no turnout fine applies.
Medical/VetTurnout - addback will be returned on supply of medical/vet certificate after the rodeo. Levies are retained by the APRA and Committee.
Please note that Medical/Vet turnouts must be notified before therodeo and you have 7days afterthe rodeo to provide a medical/vet certificate.
Please also note that if you medical out of a rodeo - you cannot compete for 10 days after the rodeo per Rule 22.6A competitor must have a medical certificate to cancel out of a Rodeo after the closingdate for entries. A competitor who cancels on a medical certificate, cannot compete for ten (10) days from the date of the Rodeo from which he cancelled and must supply a medical release.
Please also note Rule 22.7 Competitors are only allowed 3 medicals and 3 visual turn outs in each Rodeo year.
Unnotified Turnouts - turnout fine of $50 will apply.
Late Fees - NewAPRA Member Portal
This weekend you will notice a new function in the Member portal to pay your late fee when entering.
This was suggested at the AGM to simplify the process of late fee payments and the ineligible flag on member profiles.
From this Friday--=--if you are late entering a rodeo and there are more than 12 entries a late fee will be generated and be payable in the APRA portal along with your entry fee as per Rule 22.14Members who wish toenterrodeosafter the advertisedclosingdate published in the 'RodeoNews'will beallowed toenter up until 12 noon (EST) the following Mondayproviding they pay a late fine of$50.00 per rodeo. Late fine must be paid to A.P.R.A. head office prior to receiving call back numbers and competing atthe particularrodeo that entries were received for. Once entries have been accepted then that member will be responsible for all entry fees and fines incurred.
Please note thatJuniors are exempt from late fees.
PersonalAccident Claims
All financial members are covered by our personal accident insurance policy. If you are injured and would like to lodge an insurance claim - please contact Head Office as soon as you can after the rodeo.
Rule 17.2 Claims on the MembersPersonalAccident Insurance must be lodged with theA.P.R.A. within 10 days from the date of the Rodeo.
Once you have contacted Head Office, we will send you a claim form to complete. The completed form must then be returned to Head Office, and we will then forward your claim to the insurance company for review. Once received the insurance company will contact you directly about your claim.
Results & Standings
This has been published in the APRA Members Facebook group but please note the following;
Rule 26.8 Prize money to be paid out within twenty four hours of the completion of the rodeo. When payoutsare made through APRA Head Office, they will be administered on thefirst business day following the completion of the rodeo.
We do our best to facilitate this each week, but the process can be delayed by the following; the timing of when rodeo paperwork is received back at Head Office, following up discrepancies with officials and clarifying any amendments. Our aim is always to have payouts done as soon as possible as well as results/standings being accurate. It's not an instant process.
Mondays are always busy in the office - receiving paperwork for multiple events, late entries, finalisingnumbers for the next weekend's rodeos and generating draws. We askfor your patience as multiple phone calls early Monday morning chasing results also hold up the process. We may not have the paperwork at all before lunch Monday which is out of our control - and negative phone calls are not going to make it any faster. We are working on system upgrades in the background to improve these procedures but for the time being this is the procedure.

ES WA SERIES FINALE
The second Extreme Steer Wrestling Australia series wrapped up in Echuca mid-February in conjunction with the MS Rodeo Promotions Cowboy Cocktail Party. It was a fun summers night of steer wrestling, breakaway roping, western fashion and of course cocktails.
The ESWA series has gained serious popularity in the short time since its inception. Hometowncowboy Peter Davenportclaimed the Guilford GeneralTransport Series Finale win on the night, besting both the long and the short go and consequently the average to pocket over $4000 for his 7.9 seconds of work. Not far behind him was the current Australian champion and the most dominant steer wrestler of the modern-day era. Ryley Gibb came into the series finale slightly shy of the lead, but the Charters Towers cowboy was a picture of consistency to edge in front of the fresh face in Tyler Kenny and shearing contractor Bradley Shaw to claim back-to-back ESWA titles.
Tyler Kenny, proved he's more than comfortable at the front of the pack of big men, easily winning the 2026 ESWA Rookie title. While the Emerald native is quietly spoken and a fan of using few words, he acknowledged the impact that family owned ESWA Steer Wrestling Horse of the Year Dave had on his success. Across from Dave, Scamp also owned by the Kenny family claimed Haze Horse of the Year honours, while Aaron Bookluck was once again voted as Hazer of the Year by the Steer Wrestlers
Molly McKane was too good in the MS Ladies Breakaway Roping on the night. Coming into the short go in the middle of a red-hot pack, her blistering 7.9 second run applied the pressure early on in the final and was good enough to keep the other ladies at bay.
WACCA WACCA RODEO
Wagga Wagga is the largest inland city in New South Wales and a major hub of the Riverina region. Located on the banks of the Murrumbidgee River and roughly midway between Sydney and Melbourne, Wagga Wagga is a regional centre for agriculture, defence and sport.
The 2026 Clipex APRA Wagga Pro Rodeo was held on 20 February 2026 at the Equex Centre. The event attracted a fantastic crowd of over 3,000 spectators enjoying typical Riverina summer conditions, with temperatures reaching 34 degrees at the start of the competition. The hot, dry February weather is a familiar feature of the region, however riders and livestock athletes performed brilliantly.
High-quality stock supplied by John P Gill and Sons ensured competitive performances across the program. Community sponsorship again played a vital role in the event's success, with major support from Clipex, Kennards Hire, Riverina Party Hire and Nixon's Engineering.
Additional regional supporters included Riverina Wool Testers, Reds Diesel, BLG Earthworks, Wagga Surveyors and C & D Mechanical, along with the Travers Family, Elders, Riverina Co-op, Pedders, lronbark Training, Palmer, Walsh and Blair Lawyers, Signs Plus, JMR Welding and Keys Plumbing.
More than six decades after its origins, the APRA Wagga Pro Rodeo continues as a highlight on the Riverina summer calendar. delivering professional sporting entertainment for the Wagga and wider community.
