How you stepped out in love

While COVID-19 forced us to postpone your Walk My Way event... ...you didn't let that stop you stepping out in love to help refugee children go to school. This book celebrates your determination, your kindness, and your care. Thank you!

The views were beautiful and it was so good to be out in the fresh air and God’s beautiful creation. Janet & family

Knowing it takes just $26 to support a refugee child in school for a year, I am very happy to walk 26 kilometres. Pastor Rob

We have taken part in Walk My Way because we are passionate about overseas mission, and believe that everyone should be able to access the blessing of education and the opportunities that flow from it! Abby & Kynan

We are SO AMAZINGLY BLESSED here in Australia, and I feel this is a small way of giving and helping those in such need! Heather

It was such a pretty walk along the creek paths and then through parkland. We did puff up a few challenging hills but really enjoyed doing the event. Ian & Rae

We’ve enjoyed every minute of the journey and gained neighbourhood friends along the way!! Heather & family

26kms is a very long way and my feet are hurting just thinking about it… ...but I’m prepared to give it a serious crack for such a worthwhile cause. Jamie

I shared the first 6km of the journey with my sister Catherine. Yes, that was a very steep hill!! Celia

This morning, our Brown Hill Creek loop walk included two cuddly koalas! David & Leanne

For the last 4 days, starting out at our church, we walked the course (no golf sticks!) - about 7km per day. Sandy & Paul

We had a great time making the dogs' Walk Your Way bandannas. Doggy accessory line for next year?? Rebecca & Elizabeth with Piccolo, Macchiato & Stoli

I like going walkies. Meg the dog

Our 26km Walk went well today. Ruby wanted to walk back but I needed to get home to record next Sunday's streaming service. Pastor Phil & Ruby

A beautiful trail. Very different journey to what is experienced by refugees. Thanks to those of you who helped provide education for refugee children. What a joy!! Kirra & family

Bella is leading us on trail, which we’re walking over a number of weeks - about 70kms. She’s also using an LLL Walk My Way towel as her ‘scarf’. Lisa, Nigel & Bella

15 month old Hazel is walking with her mum and dad, taking her own steps each day... ...which will (eventually) add up to 26kms ❤

When you have a passion for something, you do it again and again. Julie & Jonathan

So good to get out and walk. Very comfy t-shirt! Linda

84 year old Colin and little Oscar Walk-ed and Woof-ed Their Ways in the Barossa.

My walks add up to more than 750km. If you look at it in terms of a return trip from Melbourne to Adelaide, I’m now approaching Murray Bridge on my way back to Melbourne . Peter

26km in 26 hours. We would’ve done it quicker without the safe-distance conversations! David & Dian

Ann, Janet, Kellie and Meagan enjoyed their Walk Your Way so much, they did an extra 3kms!

My message to the refugees we're helping: one, never give up hope that one day you will be free, and two, never lose your love of learning. Peter

We're doing something a bit different. You can walk your dog 26 laps of the oval, cook 26 new recipes, or play 26 different games! Amanda

My Walk My Way was extra special because I finally had the freedom to leave the house after 14 days of quarantine! Maya

Went for a long walk with one of my daughters... ...then I did 26 push-ups and 26 sit-ups (she didn't join me for that part!). Greg

No broken bones this time, just tired legs. So glad to be doing something good for someone who really needs it. Stephen & Bev

Luca RAN his 26km Walk Your Way, while still recovering from Chronic Fatigue Syndrome.

I thought I’d challenge myself! It was such a mixed buzz of wow look what we can do for others and oh my goodness I did it!!! Marie-Claire

Our own children had a great education offered to them with so many opportunities. I knew that if we could do the same for the refugee children it would give them hope for their futures. Helen

In a big way, it’s up to God to use the resources we make available if we allow Him to work through us. And I think ALWS does that wonderfully. Maria

As I walked, I thought of the team in the field who risk their health and well-being every day to ensure refugees and displaced people are welcomed and cared for. What amazing work they do. We thank God for them! Jamie

I didn't go to school myself, so I am happy that my children can come to school. I am grateful for the help from Australia. Kulusia, mum of Masego (left), Kakuma Refugee Camp, Kenya

Thank you! Walking together to bring love to life
