the studio of Brian Dunlop: an exhibition exploring the work of Brian Dunlop and the artists he connected closely with during his 60-year career. in the 1960s Brian Dunlop spent a decade living and painting in europe in the company of many expatriate australian artists, including Justin O’Brien and Jeffrey smart. Justin became Dunlop’s mentor and had a profound influence on his career. later, Francis Giacco and Jenny Giacco became students of Dunlop for many years, learning from him in his studio. Brian Dunlop’s daughter Sophie benefited from his artistic influence and teachings throughout her life. sophie also spent many years studying in Francis and Jenny Giacco’s studio. Claudia Kelly, 2017
