Pastoral Leadership in Public Life began in grace, as a gift. In 2013, Lilly Endowment chose Education Beyond the Walls at Austin Seminary as one of three recipients of a grant to support the strengthening of early career pastoral leadership. Putting the gift to action, our goal was to move beyond programmatic notions and prayerfully open our imaginations to new approaches.
