SEPTEMBER 2022 Greetings Lions
On August 6, I attended the Lions of Illinois Foundation Golf Outing. I had a wonderful time golfing and meeting lions from all over Illinois. On August 11, I attended the Region and Zone Chair meeting chaired by GLT District Coordinator Lion Robin Kirar. The meeting was well attended. Lion Robin discussed RC/ZC responsibilities. PID Dan O’Reilly discussed chartering new clubs and membership retention and recruiting new members. On August 17, we had our District 1A Golf Outing. I would like to thank the sponsors, golfers, and those that came to dinner. We had a great
turnout an everyone had an enjoyable time. I would like to thank the golf committee members, and the volunteers, without you the outing would not be possible. With the slow down of COVID, many clubs are having fundraising events. We need to support each other to help promote Lionism in our District. We are all in this together. I hope to see you at the Lions of Illinois Foundation 2nd Annual A Knight’s Quest Gala on September 23. Get your tickets now.
