OCTOBER 2022 Greetings Lions On September 9, Lion Bonnie and I attended the Council of Governors meeting in East Peoria. We had a great time talking and exchanging ideas with the other Governors from the other districts. On September 12 I had the pleasure of swearing in my brother Bruce to the Worth Lions. On September 13 we attended the District 1A Candy Day Jamboree. This function was well attended, and the guest speakers were very informative. I and 3 other Worth Lions golfed in the Chicago Heights golf outing on September 14. I swore-in a new member at the Chicago Ridge Lions meeting on September 15. We were lucky
enough to attend a fundraiser for the Palos Lions at Silver Lakes. The Region 5 meeting was held on September 22, it was a great meeting where we were able to share ideas with other clubs. On the 23 we attended the LIF Gala at the Westin. We had a great time gambling and talking to the other lions from around the State. Lion Trish did a wonderful job. Thank you to all of the volunteers that helped with the Gala. On September 25 we made our way to the StickneyForest View 5K Run and then onto the Willow Springs Lions Lionesses for their pancake breakfast. My calendar is nearly full for the month of October. I will be out on the streets shaking my can on October 14 for candy day. This is a great time to collect some money
