DISTRICT 1A GOVERNOR RICHARD MOY’S

MONTHLY NEWSLETTER

March 2026

Good afternoon Servant Heroes!

Good afternoon, Servant Heroes!

We saw some great improvements over the month of February, and I want to thank you all for your efforts. We are currently sitting at a negative 21 for membership, but on thepositive side wehavebrought in 132 new members to our Lions

Family andthat’sanimportant piece when it comes to membership. Bringing in new members allows us to nurture and inspire those new members to attract more members. Iencourage those sponsors of these new members to assist them in finding their place in the club where their voices can be heard and their

presence actively engaged. This is ouropportunity tohelpthemattract others that have the same heart of service that they found in them. Moving onto Service, we are currently reporting 100% of our clubs reporting service! This is outstanding and I want you to give yourselves a round of applause for those efforts. Reporting service allows your clubs to shine and tell the story of who you are to this world in need. We have some work to do with officers trained, we are sitting at 21% of our club officers reported trained, but that metric is an easy fix. The online classes in the Lions Portal are very easy to take and don’t take much time to complete. Ifyou need help with this, please reach out to GLT Gail Anton forassistance. Shecanhelp youwith getting started and completing those training sessions. Our goal for new clubs is 3 for this year, we currently have 1 new club chartered and are working on the last 2 which should be completed by this month thanks to the great GAT Team that’s been working hard tofinalize details with our new and returning Lions Family. For the month of March, we are running a membership drive

challenge for all clubs. The challenge isfor eachclubto bring in 2 new members, BUT the club that brings inthemost new members for the month of March will receive an award ,recognition at our awards banquet in June along with recognition in our state magazine letter and a special lunch get together with the Governor, FVDG Ben, SVDG Karl and the GAT Team as a thank you for all of your efforts on this Membership Challenge. To qualify for the award and recognition, your club must have brought in 10 new members minimum. I know many of you love a good challenge, so let’s have FUN with this and good luck to you all!

Okay, now that I bored you with shop talklet’s getinto theFUN stuff.

CONVENTION SEASON IS HERE!

Our District Convention will be here before you know it. The convention dates are March 20th-22nd. As you all know this is a great time to celebrate each other and reflect on a wonderful year of beautiful memories made together. On behalf of First Vice Governor Ben Zoleta and Second Vice Governor Karl “Cowboy” Shchulz, I want to

encourage you all to register as soon asyou canandinvite outthose new members to experience a weekend where they can meet their family from not only across the district but across the state. These two leaders areso excited tolead us into the future and it’s important to show them all the love and support this convention weekend. I remember my first district convention very fondly; it was Lion Frank Kirar that spent so much time encouraging theattendanceandI’m so glad I did. Those that I met and talked to help shape my passion for this Lions Family. You truly meet

some remarkable Lions that have a wealth of experience.

That’s all I have, I hope you’re still awake, and don’t forget to wash your hands. lol
