Between 99 developed parks, 103 miles of trails, and over 8,000 acres of open space, there’s plenty to explore in Aurora’s outdoors. The Aurora History Museum and Historic Sites will be showcasing Aurora’s outdoor possibilities, and history behind the spaces we love, in a new exhibit, The Great Outdoors of Aurora. The new exhibition will open on May 2, 2023 and run through the spring of 2024. Discover the history behind our reservoirs, city parks, nature centers, the Highline canal, swimming pools, and more all within the city of Aurora.
