Twenty semi-finalists for 1963 Glomerata Beauties were selected Monday night They were picked from a field of 75 girls nominated by various campus organizations for the honor

Final judging will be Nov 12

In a departure from past procedure the number of finalists will be determined by a point scale rather than setting a fixed number according to Omicron Delta Kappa president Judd Lyon

Judicial Group Submits Decision On Organizations

The judicial branch of the Student Body the Jurisprudence Council, convened at 7:00 p.m. the evening of the twenty-third of October at the request of the President of the Student Body and the Superintendent of Political Affairs

All of the members of Jurisprudence Council were present; this includes Professor A B Metzger (presiding justice), Associate Justices: George Beck; Lester Crawford; Patty Hackett Jud Lyon; Linda Ransom, and Bill Ward Jurisprudence was called into session for the purpose of rendering an interpretation of the new Student Body Law of Student Organizations as it applied specifically to the Schools of Engineering and Veterinary Medicine The law reads in part: "It is the duty of the President of each school to form a council composed of a representative from each group indigenous to his particular school in which he acts as chairman of that council."

Prior to the enactment of the new law The Schools of Engineering and Veterinary Medicine, had and have had for some time in effect a very active and efficient council system—The Engineeds Council and the Student Chapter of the American Veterinary Medical Association Moreover the aforementioned two councils actually served as a basis for the promulgation of the new law

Awards Presented To Signal Cadets

Nine senior cadets of the Army Signal Corps recently received the Distinguished Military Student citation and badge Maj Samuel presented the awards to cadets: Lt Stanley Adams Lit Hubert Adkins Lt John Doolittle, Lt Howard Lollar, Capt William Miller Capt Robert Phillips Capt Jerry Posey Lt Col William Stevens, and Maj James Wood To be eligible for this honor, a cadet must have a B average in military subject be in the upper half of his academic class, and possess superior qualities of leadership ability In addition the cadet
