KEBON PRING - Community Learning Center As a tourist destination, Kampung Batik Giriloyo has a unique attraction loves by many foreign and domestic tourist. Batik as the main attraction has some ways to be enjoyed by tourists, by learning how to make it, the history of it, how to wear it, or by buying some of it. Batik as local culture of Giriloyo needs to be preserved, and continue to be their unique culture. In purpose to regenerate the culture, the community needs to learn how to grab the attention of their young generation to care about their own local culture. Communication between former organizers and youngsters, discuss its culture and their continuous plan.

On the current site, it is full by teak tree and bamboo. Divided into two areas by slow stream river, it was full of plastic waste because the area was rarely accessed and cleaned by people. Humid conditions and leaf litter cause there are many mosquitoes. Putting activities on the site may gain the attention of people to take care the cleanliness of it. To maintain countryside feels, bamboo and wood are chosen as the main material for the buildings. Sustainable design applied to the bamboo structure. Within 5-7 years, bamboos need to be replaced and new design can be applied according to future needs.

INSIDE OFFICE Kantor Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kota Yogyakarta Dinas Lingkungan Hidup (Environmental Services) as government’s department in charge to take care city’s landscape and environment, has almost 300 staffs. They make sure that the city is in good condition of its environment. Yogyakarta’s office was located in the center of the city since 1986, formerly PT. KAI’s office. In 2017, the office is gained and many function rooms are outdated and needs to renovate. The new office needs to accommodate all of functional rooms and big parking space for trucks and other operational transport. Small building footprint can gives more open space for green areas and parking areas. Room openings need to be able to give a good airflow inside. Energy consumption is one of the concern on a new building, less it takes better it gives. Green area should sustain to reduce sun heat to the office area. Multi-storey building can give less building’s footprint for greater open areas, but it need to be connected on each floors. Stairs and ramps are efficient and effective connecting each floor.

HIGHLIGHTING SUDIRMAN Streetscape and Landscape Historical Street of Bogor, Indonesia Bogor has a lot of historical value of Indonesia. But today, the value is less known by citizens. One of Bogor’s historical place or corridor is Jalan Sudirman (Sudirman Street). 1.6 km long street from Taman Air Mancur (north) to Gate of Istana Bogor (south). Bogor is also known as Angkot (minibus) city. Transportation was overcrowded all over city. Pedestrians feel insecure because angkots are blocking the street when they want to cross the street. Meanwhile, Bogor is shaded by big trees around city. To empower the historical value and make pedestrians more comfortable on the street, we redesign pedestal along Jalan Sudirman. Make it accessible for all by adding tactile paving. Putting speed table, narrowing road width on crosswalk and put road divider to slow down vehicles speed. Provide bike lane for bikers. Road divider island and pedestal are designed to prevent puddles during heavy rain with grass top and waterway pipe beneath it. north elevation

COMUTUAL HOUSE Co-Housing for Millennial Generation Development is never comparable with the availability of existing land. As a result, the resident culture that is primarily felt in the city becomes vertically oriented. Various types of vertical houses began to be widely adopted in Indonesia. One of which is predicted to be loved is the type of cohousing. Cohousing is a strategic solution to the scarcity of land and the need to live for millennials. Comutual House responds to the interdependent aspects of users, buildings, and environments. The needs of millennial families living in clusters on a limited land without neglecting environmental safety require a reciprocal relationship between these aspects in order to achieve efďŹ ciency.
